At the top of this forum is a thread caklled'Best of Begginners Questions' that contains a lot of links to some very good threads. If you are willing to put in the work of reading, there is tons of information available.

Also, if you have specific questions, searching through this forum will usually yield an answer. if it doesn't ask, and someone here will be able to answer. For the math, here is a pretty comprehensive resource

Mathenoobics Index

For strategy, that is a much more open ended question. The game is so fluid, and each player's skill level (as well as the skill level of their opponents) is so variable, that there is no way to teach a player strategy. the best that can be done is inform the player of different ways that other players analyze hands, and let them develop their own strategy. the best way to do that is to post hand histories (do not include the outcome, just all the information, including reads and history, up to the point where the key decision was made).

LOL....but, OK.

Micro FR Concept of the Week Index. Scroll through the list of threads for a topic or find the earliest posts and read them all.

"Some" of these threads have a bit of outdated strategy but overall, if you read every one of the threads, your pokering skills will improve.

GL.... see you in a month or two.

Welcome to the site, There is a lot of help right here and I hope you can use it to your benefit. There are a lot of folks here who really do want to see you improve ...

... but you do realize that you walked into a grocery store and asked where you could buy some milk? GL

PS ... You are off to a good start! Find out which 'media' helps you grasp the concepts the best but don't ignore everything available to you on the web. There is plenty out there for free so I wouldn't recommend you pay for coaching/videos right away unless you are really going to put in your time. Books .. yes there are some good ones to have near by all the time and you can always come back to them without further expense. Try to look for streams with hole cards where a Pro is doing commentary, but remember that some concepts at the Pro level don't do well at lower stakes .. don't forget the human element!

Please do some research here before starting a new thread, but if you really do have something specific feel free to put it out there for us to see ... Don't be shy and pay attention to the rules ...

Hey welcome to 2+2. We got everything from Poker strat to this or that or I did it with a whiffle ball bat. History science math we got it. Other other topics can’t flaunt it.

Now go ahead and respond to other people’s threads 1k times. Just the act of putting concepts into words will help you learn on your own. It’s ok to be wrong. If you suggest a line or strategy that others don’t like then sometimes it’s best to agree to disagree. Good luck.

——

Strategy: it’s all about mentality estimating your share of the pot. Most of the bets you’ll be facing will be between 1/2 pot and pot sized bets and raises. So being aware of when you have between 25% and 34% equity is key. Equilab is free.

When you have less than 25% equity you either need to be facing a particularly small bet or getting good implied odds or both. If you’re not then it’s time to fold.
