Are there any training sites or books with basic information about this game?

Unlike holdem or even the stud/limit omaha games there arn't basic hand charts/postflop guides that I can find.

Bob Ciaffone's Omaha Poker (get the 21st Century edition) followed by Jeff Hwang's Pot Limit Omaha Poker are the best books for basic information. I think the best PLO training site is DC.

Found this site about a year ago. Ok for starting out, I think.

I watched a galfond video on capped PLO (and some others on blue fire); he said capped PLO is great to learn preflop and flop hand value in, and learning about equity, when to commit with hands, when not to, when to cbet, etc.

So obv I short stacked 25PL and made monies.

If you're using HEM, obv get Omaha Manager also, as learning equities of hands is really quite vital in the game. It's silly maybe to think that equity is all that the game is about, but players will play according to their hand's equity so it's indirectly related anyway.

I basically play rundowns and suited AAK type hands aggressively, sometime see flops with suited ace with gappers and/or pair, etc, also. Worked so far for me.

Jeff Hwang's first book will give you an excellent intro to the game and a very good idea of what hands to play. But it's aimed at Full Ring so will have you playing uber-nitty to start with.

(I don't have a problem with that. As a PLO noob myself, I'm aware that there are worse things I can be than nitty. Time to open up when you're comfortable with the basics.)

DC has a couple of video series by Vanessa Selbst, amongst other stuff. (There's actually a new 'PLO for beginners' series due to start this week, I believe.)

You'll be needing this and/or this.

Also, re-read everything you have on your bookshelf about avoiding tilt, and the psychological aspects of poker. Seriously.

Brushing up on bankroll management can't hurt, either.

Good Luck.

This is correct, but you have the order backwards.

Jeff's book is the nuts. With redraws.
