I've been playing poker online for several years, and have won slightly more than I've lost. I was primarily playing as recreation, so I focused on playing one table at a time and relaxing. Recently, I've decided to dedicate more time to the game in an effort to use it as a legitimate second income source.

I have mostly played $5 and $10 SNGs, and occasional MTTs or cash games.

One thing I've definitely seen from most serious players is multitabling, and I think that in order to maximize my hourly rate I need to pick up this skill. The question I have is how to go about this. Obviously, I can just load up multiple tables and go for it, but are there any recommended steps that I can take to make the transition more successful? The few times I've tried it, I tend to feel rushed and disconnected from the action at the table - does this go away with experience, or is there something specific I should be doing?

For reference, the only third-party software I use at the moment is Poker Tracker.

Thanks in advance.

Add one table at a time and get solid and comfortable, then add another. Rinse and repeat.
