Hi guys,

I've been playing around 4 years, have a good solid TAG game. I'm upto 20nl and really need to work on my LAG game as tight is certainly not right anymore. I've tried playing LAG for about 4 months and have had decent success, but have a couple of questions...

My starting hand range: usually 3bet small pocket pairs & large pocket pairs (for bluff/value). How would you play pair like 99 or 1010? Also 3betting suited connectors & sometimes (rarely) Axs Kxs Qxs. I mix them up though.
Cbetting: I'm Cbetting almost all flops, unless I'm against a calling station (then I'm not 3brt bluffing anyway). If I miss the flop and I'm called, what am I to do? Is this hugely opponent dependent?

I also feel quite spewy when playing this style, is this normal or am I spewy?

play the player. lol i have no idea...

i mean... figure out the range he called u preflop with. how often the flop hits him. how often it hits u. what he thinks of u. and eventually u'll know exactly what he has and how good what u have is versus what he has throw in some odds and pseudo gto stuff and ez game.

does that make sense? i think i just made it up on the fly...

Why isn't tight correct?

The reason I ask is that often the reason isn't that the tables are nit fests, but rather the player has become bored playing TAG. In addition, you can't portray yourself as a poker god playing TAG. Everyone goes ooh and aah when you say you play LAG.

Since I don't see any description about position in your questions about playing LAG, my guess is that you aren't ready to play LAG yet. The way to get more loose is to slowly add hands to your range, not make a wholesale change in play.
