I've been using PT4 for about a year now, and it's come to my attention that a lot of players are using more than just 1 tracking software. So I'm considering investing in more.

What do you guys suggest for a budget of $150-200? (Excluding training)

Would I be better off seeking 1 to 1 coach in rather than joining a site like Run it Once? What do those sites offer that guys on YouTube, twitch don't offer?

Save the money. HEM and PT do roughly the same thing to be honest. Instead, I would invest in a coaching site (or perhaps, one off videos from people like SplitSuit) which has the most content for your given choice of game / limit. Or an actual coach if thats your thing / you have a fair bit of disposable income.

Flopzilla is a nice piece of software, though. And I do happen to own Leak Buster which is nice, but certainly not mandatory (indeed, I would rather pay a coach to do a DB leakfinder instead once I have a decent sample. Or buy a video which runs through a DB analysis to mimic. But, for a quick or early analysis of your play, it does the job fairly well).

SplitSuit is what i would call a "scam" coach, sells old recycled outdated knowledge you do find everywhere on the internet for free and last time he plays was probably like 2009.
I do have a simple rule for watching videos.
Dont watch anything by anyone who is not a stars 100NL reg in todays games or in general a reg in todays games, and by "reg" i dont mean someone who only plays 100k hands a year at this limit.....
Get a coaching site sub.
CREV, pokerranger, and then some more advanced tool like simplepostflop are really worth to get, with CREV for example you have to spend the time constructing different models, comparing EV of different lines, i think its really fun but some people think its boring

Sure there might be some good solid coaches on some sites who dont play "professionally" 1mm hands a year or who dont play at all anymore.
But there are also tons of coaches who do...
So why again would you want to choose someone as a coach you dont know any results or what type of games he plays?
Hey, there is an ocean full of coaches nowadays, who cares, i just go to the next one who i have 100% proof on he still plays in todays games and knows whats going on.
My time is too valueable to watch a 30min video just so later I know nothing new cause the guy is only using 2009 concepts or teaching only 2009 concepts.
And trust me there are tons of "bad" videos on coaching sites out there

sorry splitsuit but i did read a really bad review in the german Pokermarket community by EJ about some of the videos you did sell on PM and outdated concepts etc, so yea i dont know it personal, never watched a splitsuit video. But going to trust EJ, he's a coach in the ps.de community etc yadaya, so i dont really think there is anything a NL100 or NL50 or possibly even NL25 in todays games might learn from your videos or any other producer who used to play like NL100/NL200 "back in the day" and isnt really active anymore

Did some posts get deleted from this thread? Surely there's a less confusing way to mod if so?

Up to date information on how to beat 50NL+ in 2015.

I'm a big fan of YouTube stuff for up to 10NL (e.g. xFlixx, Splitsuit, PokerVIP) but if you want to learn the more advanced stuff and find out how the strongest players think about the game at higher stakes, or learn how to use the power tools like CREV, you need to subscribe to something like RIO. You could try a couple of months on a video site, and then get a coach as the next step. Kind of depends what level you're currently at.

Put it this way: nobody is going to give out information which has substantial value for free.

As much as i hate pokerstrategy nowadays but imo they have the best stuff kinda on how to construct gameplans and stuff like for a lot of spots as a "beginner", maybe its a german thing too haha (developing plans) i dont know
Nah dont worry the english community has lots of good stuff too. But they teach how to develop gameplans, Value/Bluff Ratios pretty much as a standard for the "modern" 10NL/25NL microstakes player in their silver and gold coachings and videos. Its quite good content, RiO doesnt really have that much "beginner" content I would say on how to construct gameplans and ranges. Steve Paul has some good "beginner" theory videos as a starting point though on RiO i think.
