Mama, ooooh, oh a oh.
I don't want to lose,
but against Durrrr, how can I?

Sorry, I may be researching the Durrrr challenge right now...

In my defence, Ice Wolf started it.

Spent the last two days drinking variations of black russians. Not sure I'm a huge fan, any suggestions on easy to make, nom, cocktails would be appreciated.

Here's one called the 'pint':

1. Get beer.
2. Pour in pint glass.
3. Savour with good conversation.

Would accept this as good advice if you weren't the type of person to take the piss out of people drinking carlsberg.

And using fancy words like "abhor" too.

Sickening.

All have their merits, except American beer. "American beer is like having sex in a canoe. It's f***ing close to water."

The American craft breweries are making some of the best beer in the world at the moment.

Just woke up after a 20 year nap, Mr. van Winkle?

I must admit I'm likely deprived of the finest American beers here. I only see stuff like Budweiser etc. I wouldn't mind touring some microbreweries if I get over there any time soon.

In London? Mate, there will be hundreds of pubs which serve a decent variety of American craft stuff, perhaps in a keg sometimes but don't dismiss it as lager.

Fair enough, to be fair it was just a bit of banter. My local has a great reputation for getting in a great variety of international ales, many of them American, many of them great! Apologies for the cheap shot

IMO, our best brews are the IPAs. Go to any brewpub in the US and they'll have at least two pale ales. I've been to more than a couple of bars in the Boston-Providence area that have 10 or more IPAs on the beer list.

It's almost like having a deep and varied beer list is as important to a casual eatery as having a deep and varied wine list is to an upscale place.

Trust me, as an American who loves good beer, every time I see a Bud/Miller/Coors commercial I want to scream "that's not what we drink anymore"

But Van Damme says so..... And those frogs...

All of this.

Was at an outdoor store that had it's own IPA and Imperial Pilsner on tap today. Also had free popcorn that was popped in coconut oil. It's the least they could offer me after spending $90 on a shirt

If you're in the Northeast US, the standard Harpoon IPA is great, but if you can find it, try their limited edition Leviathan.
