Just seems like most of the tables at any site at most stakes I play has mostly good players. I still make money in tourneys and SnGs but ring games are nothing but winning small pots with the exception of being on the winning or losing side of nuts vs second nuts or AA vs KK preflop.

Once in a while there will be a super aggro player to make money from or a calling station but those are like finding a 4 leaf clover sometimes.

Once you move up to 10nl the fish get fewer and further between.

I’m devoting my study to MTT and STT and dabbling in Omaha.

Anyone else have this realization or am I wrong?

Depends on the site, to be honest. I've actually found less competition at nl50. That's not to say nl10 is difficult though. There's plenty of bad regs at those games, at least on wsop and ignition. Haven't played on acr in forever.

I'd probably start looking for holes in your game before assuming the fish don't exist. Not being crass, could be that you're just in an elite pool. It's not as easy as it once was, but that doesn't mean it's not still profitable. If they were that great, you wouldn't think they'd be hanging around nl10 would they?

You answered your own question in a way atleast personally for you, you should stick to the formats that are most profitable for you, GL

KS edit: Deleted quotation

I’ve got 6 1sts in small stakes ($3-10 buy ins mostly guaranteed rebuys) MTTs with over over 100 players since October 18. Four of those were in October so I had a 2 month “drought” of not winning and moved to cash and was probably a losing player if I’m honest. Most sessions seem break even almost but over the long run I think I’m on the losing side.

Crap thing was I’m a commissioned sales person and my winter income drops significantly. Even though 3-10 dollar tourneys netted me probably in the area of $4000 in winnings I had to pay bills and couldn’t move up in stakes.

I use the micros as somewhere to practice and see hands/think through the process moreso than anything. If you can eek out a profit at 10NL you can most likely turn profit in most LLSNL games if you’re capable of making the proper adjustments

Few are gonna get rich online in this climate but I don’t think it’s impossible
