Im getting confused by the difference between the formulas/premises of the EV formulas, gbucks, sklansky bucks and fold equity?

They all overlap and it has really confused me so can someone highlight the premise/function of each?

sklansky bucks == theoretical/mathematical value of your play.
say.. you and villain get money (500 each) in on turn. cards are opened, you are 60% favourite to win. one can say you made 100 sklansky bucks as you risked 500 and you were due to get 600 back (60% of the 1000 that got in on turn).

folding equity == educated guess how often villain would fold to specific bet one is considering AND then applying this % value to the ev calculation for the situation.

Sklansky bucks has nothing to do with fold equity, there is no overlap.

Overlap between gbucks and EV, overlap between EV and sklansky bucks, Overlap between advanced EV formula and fold equity, overlap between EV formula and advanced EV formula.

will you explain the differences and functions of application of each to me please?

ev calculations are math analysis on certain situation.

ev calculations are just math. While I tackled the ev calculation head on without special formulas, I do recommend that you study&use basic formula first until you are very familiar with it and then move on to advanced version.

fold equity is one component needed in the said ev calculation.

sklansky- and g- bucks are results of specific situation ev calculations. I do not see any need to coin another term (g bucks).. IMHO sklansky bucks covers both.

idea behind g bucks was to use it in when villain was put on a range of hands instead of specific hand. ba-humbug say I.. no real value in using another term.. but that might just be me.

gbucks has nothing to do with putting someone on a range.
