If your bank holds a poker check and says it's released on saturday, is it actually monday? If your bank holds a poker check and says it's released on saturday, is it actually monday?

If you got a Canadian check and the bank puts a hold on it, and it says the funds are available 10/30, which is a Saturday, does this mean it actually won't be available until monday, as banks don't consider saturdays and sundays business days?

I would imagine the funds would be available Saturday... because they probably just have some electronic hold on it that can be released automatically. I've deposited checks that were released on the weekend.

Depends on your bank. I'd call and ask them to be sure, but yeah, it will probably be available Saturday.

It won't be available until Tuesday, because Bankers are so used to saying one thing that actually means another. Standard Practice.
