Nothing Bovada does will influence any of the US regulated sites.

Expecting others to do the thinking for you is a great way to stay as a beginner.
This thread is literally like you opened up twitter and typed two quotes.

What do you think personally regarding this subject and why? Have you done any research?
Please enlighten us first. That would provide a good foundation for conversation.

And not like anyone hasn't told this to you before.

what i don't get is that he asked the exact same question previously, except you'd need to replace "canada" with "uk", and i doubt he lives in both

It was not intended to breed conversation. Just an answer. However my research into this topic has lead me to believe that it is unlikely for the US to allow money to flow out of the country, my thoughts are all aimed towards finding a way to play with american players before there is global integration (if there ever is). And I don't know it is possible yet...

the obvious reason for this is that I linked it to how bovada is operating in both the US and Canada. Different questions - same topic. Very easy to understand and distinguish.

I think you can easily infer that I do not currently live in both. Which is also unrelated to the question at hand - your doubt is well placed, very perceptive of you.

There's a thread in NVG about Stars opening up in New Jersey. There are a lot of (clueless) people asking "Does this mean we can play against the worldwide Stars player pool?"
The answer is no. It will be a very long time before the US has an open market for online poker. Segregation is likely to be the norm for years.
What Bovada does is kind of irrelevant, because that site effectively operates beyond the reaches of the U.S. lawmakers.

1. Why do you care?

And 2. Why do you care?

No bank is going to risk getting shut down by the Federal gov't claiming that poker is covered by the Wire Act. There just isn't going to be enough money in poker to make the chance worthwhile. Since the Wire Act does not apply to intra-state banking, banks are comfortable enough to help in-state rooms.

If the NHL expands to Las Vegas, how many Canadian players will be on the team?

Just under 50% will be Canadian on average. It may be a bit below the average since Canadian teams have a higher % of Canadian players than the average team.
