How much of an effect would it have on your game?

I just got PT3 a few days ago, but am already feeling i am improving my game with the stats i am getting on my opponents. Its actually pretty exciting to suddenly make certain moves based on the stats and getting it right.

My only worry is that i start to base all my plays and evaluate all my game on the stats i get from PT3 and rely on it way to much. If its been banned from other sites (cake for example) whats to stop it being banned on others?

And then suddenly I realise my whole game is based on stats from a program i rely on - thats not really being a good player is it, its just reading a program well.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Play on all the tons of other sites that allow it?

I like to play with any edge i can get, datamining and HUDs give me a great edge, there are enough sites out there that if one site decides to ban something you can just hop to another site.

I learned to play (well) without it. I think that if you're using it to aid your decisions rather than to use it as your sole decision making instrument, it's ok and you'll still do well... otherwise you're going to suffer when your computer can't offload some of the processing for you.

i wouldnt mind either. i usually only use a HUD in marginal spots, and only because most the other regs do and poker is often a game of small edges. a lot of times ill start my autoimport and forget to start my HUD and not notice for several hundred hands.

Click on the box to autostart your HUD.

While I have used PT for self analysis for years, I only recently (within the last 2 years) started to use an HUD. Before that I was comfortably 9-tabling 50nl+ just on reads and notes. I think if HUDs were outright banned it would give me a huge advantage over most of the regs I play against, having already developed a skill set most lack.

I wouldn't mind a bit.

I would just continue using Holdem Manager.

you are underestimating the winning players ability to win.
without HUD, we'll just play less table and stay within our comfort means and still win.
only impact
huge hit on rakeback and bonus.....
less hand mean less $$ earn.
it would actualy do more damage to the losing players
since we don't play 8-12-24 tables, we'll have alot higher win rate playing 2-4 tables.
it would actually make game harder for losing players.
think about it.
just because you use PT3 or HEM, it does not make you winning players
