I am new to the forum but I have to say that poker is supposed to be all about gentleman play and not colliding with friends.I watched Ept 13 Malta 2016 High Roller and it seems to me that David Yan and Max Silver are playing together. The scam is that when one of them is having strong hand or nuts gives a strong blink to the other. It is only what the camera sees but the evidence is strong (by me), I hope that someone will prove me wrong so I can restore my faith in poker.

I thought collision play was when you got up after being busted and bump into a cocktail waitress who happened to be walking behind you at the time

The blinking you are looking at looks a lot like a standard tic. What we do not know (since the camera is not on him) is whether or not he blinks like that at other times. I only looked at your first two examples. Collusion is less of an issue in heads up play (where they could just soft play each other). Also, in the second example, A7 is not exactly a monster, so I am not sure why he would be signaling Yan to stay out of his pot.

sorry about collision I ment collusion, the definition is:

Collusion is two or more players acting with a secret, common strategy. Some common forms of collusion are: soft play, that is, failing to bet or raise in a situation that would normally merit it, to avoid costing one's partner or friend money; whipsawing, where partners raise and re-raise each other to trap players in between; dumping, where a cheater will deliberately lose to a partner; and signalling, or trading information between partners via signals of some sort, like arranging their chips in a certain manner.

In a poker tournament, when one player is all in and two other players are active in the pot, it is common for the two players with chips left to "check it down", or check on each round of betting through the end of the hand. Unless they explicitly communicate an agreement about checking it down, this is not collusion.

You have to see all the hands to form opinion.
The strong blinking is not present in hands with other players.

Max Silver is an excellent player who has been around for a long time and earned millions. I very much doubt hes colluding. If he was I think he'd be able to devise a more sophisticated method that wouldn't be easily apparent to anyone at the table who is paying attention to their opponents.

I did that once after losing a $500 pot when my KK got cracked by a TT that rivered a straight. Poor girl (and me and the people to my left and right) got soaked by ice cold beer. To say I felt like a royal ass would be to understate the situation.

It's not necessary to communicate with another player in heads-up situations when it would be a lot simpler to just agree to not make moves on each other.

It's cheating either way, (blatant communication or pre-agreed soft playing) but I see no reason why someone would risk this kind of cheating.

also they go all-in at minute 45

It's pretty obvious there was no collusion going on. The fact we get in JJ vs AQs in that spot with those stacks alone is pretty blatant proof to anyone who plays MTTs alone. I'm blinking all the time although it's a bit crazy you spent that much time on time stamps etc...

On phone so I didn't see all the examples but I did look at second since someone said it's not a strong hand and can confirm it's not really a "strong hand" worth warning away from pre or postflop..

Not going to get into strategical information but obviously happy to address any questions or concerns otherwise.

Hi Max Silver!

How did I not see/get linked to this thread?!?!

Actual Max Silver here, obviously I was not colluding in any shape or form with David. I think the fact that I got all in 4 handed as the two chip leaders is a pretty clear indicator of that.

It's actually possible we both might have small blinking tells that you picked up on, will be sure to fix that.

I think it's important to always be on the look out for collusion/softplay in these high rollers and I'm glad people are considering these kinds of things. It does seem pretty misguided here.

I was gonna send you the link a few days ago, but it seemed like such a ridiculous accusation that I didn't think you should lose sleep over it.
You apparently have awful poker nightmares as it is.
