Jst to tell all ye about my poker story >> Im playing the last year and a half ive played Sngs mtts omaha cash and seem to break even or lose move up and down so and so.. so i said to myself i want to learn and beat cash and lastely i cant even beat 2nl :/ im goin mad i need help just to learn and move up and try beat cash anyone help me ive read alot and dont know where to go or what to do im confused

Give up if u cant beat nl2 way to much work now to be put in for beginners for a dying industry. Much easier ways to make money.

Possibly a sample size thing. Do you have Hold'em Manager or PokerTracker? If so, what are your stats like?

Please explain why you think poker is a dying industry. Also, you can play for fun/as a hobby rather than just to make money.

If you study the material available here, post hands you are having problems with and generally work at it, you are pretty well guaranteed to be able to beat 2NL.

If your posting on a strategy forum for advice on how to beat games, and your willing to study it, that generally means the person cares for it more then a general hobby.

And if you really have to ask why games are dying / getting tougher, then for as much as you post you must live under a rock.

I have HEM. I moved up to 25nl and str8 back down to 5nl. I was multitabling between 12-15 was breaking even and i decided to start again so here i am playin 4-6 tables and trying to improve & work on my game.

Okay, probably not a sample size thing. What are your stats?

Also, Insignificant, don't be ****ing stupid. I'm a rec player, but I love studying the game, and I also happen to like winning (most rec players will IMO).

You can post 2NL hands here or Micro Stakes NL or Micro Full Ring depending on whether you play 6max or FR. I would suggest posting the first couple here because people are less likely to say 'Why the hell didn't you 3bet, do you hate money or something?' when you make newbie mistakes.

You should cbet fish when you are likely ahead of their range or you think they will fold. It's quite a topic but a short answer is you mostly c-bet. If the guy is a calling station don't cbet when you completely missed the flop and he is likely to call with anything.

Get a free trial of Holdem Manager or Poker Tracker 4 so you can track your stats and post them, I guarantee this is the quickest way to find the glaring leaks in your game that you probably have.

Okay Im going to start looking at fish when i cbet if their calling stations or not if i missed flop :L

But since im back down to 2nl i play 18/16 calling tags and lags to set mine with low pp 22/77 and 3bet 88+ out of blinds or IP against lags..

This is 6-max? Can you screen dump your positional stats? So take a screen shot and host it somewhere like Photobucket.

games today might be tougher than 2006, but that doesn't mean suddenly everyone's gonna master the game. its too complex, too many things to learn. fish is not going to spend hours and hours studying everyday, so as long as you do you'll still beat them.

as for the games dying, not sure where you get that from. still over 6k entrants in the wsop main event, still 200k+ players on stars online, still plenty of fish.
