Are you guys talking about $25/50 or 25c/50c ?

25NL is the game of choice for me and I think it would take some serious crushing for me to move up any higher

Im far from pro or crush it but I jut find 25NL to be very soft. I think its the game of choice for many normal rec players, it fits nicely in the middle of where a profit means something but your not playing solid players

There are also a lot of multi tabling regs who will fold for 4 hours without knowing, blind stealing can become very easy. Lots of $17ish short stackers who you can pick on and if things are going bad ABC poker is more than enough

I would highly suggest moving to 25NL and just playing poker, dont try to over adjust and think every raise is the nuts. Just play poker there dude and soon enough you'll find out how good of a level it is and you wont want to go anywhere

It is the first stop destination of every first time depositer. They could lower themselves to play with the plebs at less than 50NL. For pennies? Come on. I play 1/2 LIVE I know what I'm doing. (Goes on sick heater running 57/12/1.4) I have no idea what it is but for the first....25k hands at 50NL I had an amazing ability for fish to hit ridiculous hands. Why yes, a 4 on the river DOES make you two pair. What was I thinking getting it all in pre with AA. Please don't spew my money to everyone else at the table. Oh....the nit has it all now. Never getting that back, thanks for reloading to the min buyin.

I wish I had an answer for you but it just seemed like first time depositers ran like God. I couldn't pay off their hands fast enough. I questioned whether I was wrong to get it in with sets, play draws aggressively, 4 bet ship with AA. Everything I thought I was doing right I wondered about. Put the money in, watch it go to fish. It's like how I used to run at 10NL before I gave up on that level. I tried 2 tabling it on the side today for a few hundred hands. Nope, still run ridiculously bad at it. I don't have an answer for you.

lol at thinking a player "probably ain't" going to drop 5 buyins playing 25nl.

op..just take a shot at 25nl.. what's the worst that happens? You feel uncomfortable with the money.. maybe you don't play your best or hit a cold run.. and you drop a few buyins.. so what.. so you move back down to 10nl... win it back, and now you've got some experience at 25nl and know what to expect on your next shot. You'll know if you need a bit bigger bankroll to take your next shot, or if you need to tweak a few things in your game to compete at the next level.. or that maybe you just can handle the swings, but you just need the cards to fall a bit better for you next time. Just don't over-think it and don't hype it up too much in your head. These guys are still just regular people playing micro stakes.. play your game and then learn to adjust.
