I'm playing quite a few MTTs (18-45 players), from $0.25 - $7 mostly. At what buy-in level do you think that basically every player is using a HUD? I'm not using one yet, and want to see how disadvantaged I am against the field.

Presumably very few $0.25 players will have one? But I suspect that there are few $7 players withOUT one... how accurate is that guesswork?!

Thanks.

Tournament players (in contrast to cashgamers) are much more likely to be casual players without HUDs. In something like the Sunday Storm ($11), it feels like only about 2 players per table have half a clue how to play. In cashgames at 10NL+, the casual players (without HUDs) are more likely to be in the minority.
In short, you'll probably find a HUD is beneficial to you at all stakes, but you won't find many "good regs" using a HUD to try and exploit you in any MTTs below $10 buyins. SNGs might be different though. I think the 45s, 90s and 180-player games have more grinders (with HUDs) than a random MTT does.

P.S. Note that if you play big field MTTs in the micros, you'll rarely get a large sample size on anyone such that you can use all the stats effectively. That said, the tracker is invaluable for analysing your own stats and hand histories.

Thanks guys. Yeah I'm gonna trial free HUDs when I get time (after March), I was just curious about other players' use of them. I think I'm sticking mostly with SNGs - sorry I didn't realize the definition of SNG and MTT was different. I've seen a few people who I've taken notes on, on PStars' SNGs... so they seem regular and I was wondering if they have a technological advantage over me. So some of them probably do!

I have just tried Jivaro, I think it only works with stars though, I do prefer hem though so I think I'll go back to that at some point.
