Let's say I memorize all the open ranges from all positions, let's say I know the percentages (how often he has specific hand, how many tens and eights he has etc.) and equities in all spots, how many bluff and value combos at specific spots they have. Is that how you beat poker? I'm slightly drunk but I love poker so much and I want to become the best. I've been obsessed by poker for the last few months and I want to become close to computer precise person. I broke up with the love of my life recently and my heart hurts so much, but I want to become the best in poker. Can you tell me, if I learn it all? Is that how I beat the game? That's all I want. To become the best. I'm eager to spend all the time for this. Thank you.

No.

I hope you didn't give up the love of your life for poker. You have a lot of stops to make on your poker journey.

I hate her a f.uck lot but I'm becoming at this s.hit the best. I'll know my exact equity at all spots. I'm becoming the best at this.

You beat poker simply by being better than your opponents (after considering any rake).

Your first post makes the assumption that there is a strategy to beat poker, as if it were a static game. This is the problem that a lot of newcomers to the game (and, honestly, grizzled regs who have become automatons in how they play) have. In any decent game, your opponents will be adapting and evolving. In order to win at poker, you have to understand the game, the percentages, the ranges, and the frequencies, but you also have to be able to throw all that out the window when an opponent is playing a non-standard strategy, or worse, when the opponent is adapting their strategy to exploit your attempts to exploit them.

To be successful at poker you don't have to be the best in the world or even better than the top x%. You just have to be better than most of the people you play against.

It's sort of like avoiding getting killed by a bear. You don't have to be able to run faster than the bear, you just have to be able to run faster than the slowest person running away from the bear.

Don't dodge the filter.

The bolded is silly, not even the best players know this and more importantly it's not all that useful. As others have said, lower your goals to something attainable like beating regs at your stake before you tackle something like becoming the best player alive.

I suspect you're going to need to do a lot of work on emotional maturity to do at all well at poker because one of the skills you need is to be able to keep focused and not be distracted by unrelated information.

Unrelated information like your love life status, which has nothing to do with poker or this topic.

If you can't keep that topic out of this post, how are you going to keep it out of your head while trying to be the best? Emotionally tilted due to life is a terrible time to play poker.

We already known poker is getting tougher nowadays, back in the days 2011 when I playing zoom plo5 at stars I can easily make $50 in 1-2 hours playing 4 tables
