I have heard that pretty much all sites apart from Stars charge a lot of rake for the micro stakes. I have a few friends that I advise to play 2NL and work their way up but apparently the rake is insane at 2nl. How do you work out if the rake is too high for each stake or site? What is the average rake across most sites?

If anyone complains about the rake at 2nl they obv aren't good so moving up to high stakes to reduce rake is ridiculous.

2nl was just an example of the question. How do you calculate and compare rake across various sites at different stake levels?
