How much should u be making? How much should u be making?

Okay I don't see how anyone can make money in the lower stakes, I know I'm a donk but trying to change that. I'm playing 2-3 tables nl10. I probably win 1 dollar if that every hour if I'm lucky. Only way i ever make more is if i shove and some idiot calls.

Understood. But I see me losing more then 1 dollar an hour. But my win is a lot lower.

Even very good players will be very hard pressed to get a $/hour win rate that will be anything near minimum wage at the micros. You can probably start getting close at NL50--maybe NL25 if you run good.

Surely if you're losing more than a dollar an hour... you're not winning at all!

Are you a winning poker player or not, whether it be marginal or not?

Then the question you should be asking is "How can I improve". It's not like people are ******s even at the nanostakes. You can't expect to win with subpar poker.

Site, sample size, VPIP/PFR?

Just study. Poker is not an easy game. Apart from improving your play I would suggest adding more tables. You win at the nanostakes with simple ABC poker, which can be managed for many a table.

Get good, make more money.

I'm quite sure strong players can make minimum wage ($8/hr in my province) playing a bunch of very soft NL10 tables. NL25 definitely.

No secret:

-Find leaks in your game to play better and increase your winrate
-Play more tables
= Better hourly rate.

But you actually have to work at both of those points, they don't just magically happen.

I hope you are not playing NL10 on fulltilt, because the rake is 10% there if IIRC which is higher than elsewhere. So the rake might be one factor that is limiting your winrate.

This is really a rhetorical question. How much money should you be making? Can you be more specific with your question? 90% of poker players are LOSERS, therefore there is no specific answer for that question. It also depends how skilled you are of a poker player, how often you play, how long sessions you play, do you have poker tracker...etc etc. All these factors contribute to "how much you should be making".

In micro stakes NL your concern shouldn't be about hourly win rates or bb/100. Your concern should be bankroll growing. You are playing NL at these levels to get some hands in and learn so when your BR grows you can move up.

think of poker as a high interest savings account and you will be more relaxed. When you move up your win rate will move up.

If you can beat the rake you are doing fine, just keep at it, read and practice.

Making money at FT microlimits was excruciating to me b/c of the insane rake. But regardless, between the bad players and the deposit bonus, your bankroll should steadily grow.

Untrue. You just said it yourself, you make $1.00 an hour. If you play for 500 hours, then you'll be ready to move up to 25NL. There you can make $2.00 an hour.

If you don't have the discipline to grind it out for 500 hours, then you have misconceptions about what being a winning cash poker player is all about.
