I'm not a beginner, but a knowledgeable player who has played off and on. For the longest time I was a broke college student, playing crappy ass micros. I graduated in May, moved back home, and got a job in August. Since then I have paid off ALL my debts (all credit card like a irresponsible idiot), and only recurring monthly bills I have is car insurance, phone bill, and gym membership. Of course there are my food expenses, gas, and so on.

I plan on moving out in November, which when I will take on all the expenses necessary to live without help from the parents.

Not that I have saved some money, how much of my money should I put into poker? I'm looking to not just play casually, but try to work hard and make significant profit. I don't think I would ever quit my job that is steady sustainable income in favor of poker, but I definitely would like to grind up as much as possible. I plan on taking it on more seriously, starting with paying for a coach, actually studying my own game, and reviewing the play of past opponents.

Find a site with rakeback. Buy HEM or PT3 if you don't have it and put at least $600 online.
Start at 25nl, if you are a winning player and put in decent time you will move up through the limits quickly.

If 25nl is too low, deposit 1-2K and play 50nl.
