I know that there is no "average" but there has to be some ammount that people make in general.

ust wondering what these estimates could be for .5/1 , 1/2, and so on

There really isn't though.. it all depends on their skill level, number of hours they put in.. number of hands they put in..how serious they take it

Anything over 3PTBB/100 at >$100 NL is very very solid...and any sort of win rate at all puts you in the top 5% or so of players.

alot of people say taht 3+ is good at any level above 50NL and that 5 is crushing it above that level.

Below that is alot different like 2NL i hear people getting up to 50PTBB/100 over 5-10k hands then moving on up. But the micros are alot different than 100NL that you asking about anyway

Hmm, if you treat it as a part time job, I think you'd make..

1.5k/month at 25NL

1.5k/month at 50NL

3k/month at 100NL

5k/month at 200NL, etc

I think these estimates are fairly generous. It assumes that a player becomes a consistent winner at each level before moving up. Winners at 100/200NL can easily earn more than that imo, if they put in lots of hours. 2ptbb/100 and 3ptbb/100 makes a huge difference in terms of hourly or monthly wage.

Thank you Roseeker, that was a kindof post I was looking for. I didnt think NL25 would be that good for a winning player though

It's hard to say on average. Just focus on playing a lot of hours with a high win rate and not tilting. Here's a thread on the topic...
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/32...stakes-396225/

In that thread I may have overestimated the win rates slightly under the assumption that you don't tilt and play a lot of hours, but you get the idea, and people can win even higher than I mentioned as well. Good luck, Yojimgari

Wow, 1.5K/month at 25NL sounds pretty generous. Why don't you think someone treating it like a part-time job would make more at 50NL than 25NL?

i just took a stab at 50NL after platying 25NL for 7bb/100 over 20k hands. even though i was beating 25nl pretty decently, 50nl just seems a lot harder, people pay a lot more attention and it's the level where people do a lot of different plays from 25NL. a lot of BvB weird 3-4 betting. when i had a short term win streak at 50nl, i was barely making more than at 25nl and eventually i started losing 50nl so i went back down where people fold to 1 barrel.

Ooops typo. I'd meant 2k for 50NL.

It's generous, but I guess for part time job I mean something more like 30 hours a week or something, putting like 3-4k hands in a day. A consistent winner at 25NL should get 5-6ptbb/100 easily, so EXCLUDING RAKEBACK, this is about 2k hands a day which is very very easy to achieve. Hell I play 3-4k a day, sometimes 8k+. If you treat it as a fulltime job and multitable a lot, you can definetly get like 5k+/months from just 25NL with supernova/rakeback. Stress will kill you though. Maybe 5k is too much, however, since if you clock lots of hours you can no longer only play at the softest hours and table select as much.

I think the jump from 50 to 100NL is more profitable because the play isn't much tougher BUT the blinds are double, whereas 50NL is a slightly bigger jump from 25NL, imho.

50nl is definitely a different game than 25nl.

I am still beating it, but not by very much. 25nl was so easy compared to 50nl. I am in the process of figuring out the differences and I know I will do better in the future, but I sure didn't expect this much of a difference from just one level. It is weird playing with players who pay attention. Now I have to work at not being quite so nitty and mix it up a bit more.

+1

Yea as a part time player I think these numbers are very generous. I guess we have to qualify "partime" before we can make an assumption like this.

So 30hrs/week is part time? I dont know sounds closer to fulltime to me.
