since youve started playing poker online, how many times would you estimate that you've reloaded? did you deposit the same amount each time?

Rek, this is the beginner forum. Maybe you should post without acting like a jerk or stay out.

sunny, this is kind of a strange question because the number of times a player buys in is irrelevant. I could buy in for $100 10 times or $1000 once and if I lose it all I still will have lost $1000. A winning player has a bankroll and plays at limits at which they are assured they won't lose that bankroll. To see things in terms of buyins is fuzzy thinking - what matters is always and only how much money you are up or down.

But to answer your question, I don't remember ever having reloaded. I might have done it once or twice at some stage.

Wow chill out - I was only joking. Do you remember what that is?

I think even the OP would have worked out i was joking. They may be a poker beginner but they are not a human being beginner.

OP if I offended you I'm sorry.

Ok a serious answer - ChrisV is making it sound that if you are correctly bankrolled you can't lose. BR is extremely important and there are many posts to help you with that. However, if you are a poor player it will still eventually go.

There can only be a certain % of players that are winners because their winnings must come from losers. Others just about cover the rake they pay.

Now if you are asking the question because you have made a few deposits and lost them you will be amongst the vast majority of players when they started. If you want to play seriously for profit then BR properly, read books and learn on forums such as this. But remember there is no guarantee anyone will be a long term winner.

If you want to play poker as a enjoyable pastime then budget so much per month and play. The liklihood is you will need to replenish your account every so often. It is not a bad thing and should be viewed as a cost the same as any other entertainment.

Good luck and by the way way I deposited 3 times, the last being over 3 years ago now.

I redeposited about 3 or 4 times for $50 before I understood bankroll management about a year ago. You're not the only one by far. Start at the lowest stakes offered and work your way up after you know you can beat them.

Most people go by the 20 buyin rule to cover variance. Before moving up, I'm now going with 25 buyins and at least 10-20k hands at whatever level I think I'm beating.
