I remember playing poker with my grandmother when she babysat me when I was 4/5 yrs old. Used to play for candy/cookies. My attention span was low so I used to eat more than I bet!

Started playing on an off since the end of 2009. Trying to actually stick at it now and put in solid hours each week.

I had an easy come - easy go history...never studied the game too much, practiced BRM or commited myself in any regards to actually winning. Binked 2 tournies in one weekend in 2005 for $10k and have since lost back about $6k in the last 5+ years randomly buying into the million, playing $200NL, $5-10 FL, etc. Trying to get serious about the game again and build up from the micros to be a winning player again...been a couple months, but feeling like I am getting stronger and more confident in my play and ability to make my money back and more!

This. This was my problem too, id never stay within my bankroll ever...especially online..i have been studying more and now take it more seriously. I am actually saving a bankroll up the hard way, week by week from my paychecks. i hope to have about 7-8k by september strictly for poker.

Its a bad feeling to just keep reloading...last year was my worst with $2400. The last $400 I put on I vowed it would be my last (like I hadnt said that before...lol) but have been relatively good since the deposit in November. I even put on a reload with the last bonus offer on Stars. I am not counting that reload in my BR though and still playing within my established limits. Its a good feeling to finally have some stability with my poker again! Still not sure what to do with the bonus I get...keep it on or cash it out, hmmmm.

well, i know for myself...i can't play online poker. It doesn't sit well with me, when i go to the casinos i win...than leave! online poker is always available to me, and thats not good...basically, wheneevr i get bored i logon. I tilt way to easily online, and step up my limits every time when i shouldnt...its way to easy to click off money that im not feeling. Where as when i start to tilt in the casino, i end my session and go to the cashier and get cold hard cash instantly.

Been a long time since I played live seriously. I really enjoy the face to face interaction and calling out peoples hands just before they flip on their showdown! Used to love the local $20-$40 game at Harrahs (Indiana) that I built up to in early 2006. It was very reg filled but was still beatable for a small profit. I tried to get going live last year and built up about $600 but lost it at a black jack table! Hate having to walk by all those pits on the way out. Plus, the action for limit is very low these days, the only fixed game usually going is $3-$6...it is all I can currently afford, but with no option of moving up I lack the necessary motivation to make the drive every week.
