How?
Well i don't know how exactly are they doing it, but I'd guess there has to be some record showing where it came from and that it's got a brazillion tables open (someone suggested screengrabbing in some thread). If it can't be done, how can they keep me from firing up 1000 tables and datamine myself? i'm pretty sure, technologically it's not a problem.

besides, whats a rule good for if you can't enforce controlling ?

They can't. Not without crippling the ability to observe tables/tournament results across the board.

sometimes rules are just rules and have value in and of themselves

if you care so much about your ptr start winning and fix your leaks instead of blaming it all on variance and how you can't win.

im baffled that you find 5nl players who use PTR

also instead of bitching why not spend the time improving your game and making yourself a winner

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think PTR even tracks Cake at all. OP, move to a site where they can't look you up if you're incapable of controlling yourself lol.

i think the graph is wrong if youre using different stakes for ALL hands, i did mine for all hands for BB and $ and i get 2 entirely different numbers.

btw, usually people dont start quoting PTR unless someone said something to them. And they want to see what kind of skills you got instead and counter your statement.

poty

i'm not a 70/50 aggrodonk, i'm a hyper lag

oh wait, i am a 70/50 aggrodonk, but only because they make fun of me for being terrible. but i'm not really terrible, i'm only terrible because they say i'm terrible, but i'm not. i'm not terrible. really.

.....

dood. srsly? nobody folds at 5nl. if you want them to stop calling you a donk, stop playing like a donk. end of.

This should solve your problem. Everyone has been called a donk in chat at one point in their career, it really should not bother you. I would be more worried if ppl were giving me compliments or being friendly in chat.

I guess I just assumed that one could just either change their user ID for a site and/or re-signup with the same real name and credit card info (as long as they only had one account at a time).

What, exactly, would be the disadvantage for a poker site to allow it's users to change their names (say once per week or month) and not have any notes or histories follow over to the new ID?

-1.3K, which if you read my OP isn't even true I'm only down about 300 from cash (nothing if you include bonuses and tourneys). This is like the 3rd time some random fish has come in saying they know who I am and talking about some other guy who is down -5k on PTR who they are just sure is me. The last one who did that to me turned out to be a losing 10NL player who got banned on this forum for constantly flaming other people due to his own inability to beat 10NL. I have a feeling you're no different because I remember you flaming a lot and admitting to not being able to beat 25NL or whatever a while ago.

I wouldn't have to care as much if PTR wasn't a piece of **** that has me down 1k more than I really am.

boxer, whether or not this guy is legit, you obviously have some ego issues and worry way too much about what other people think. if he IS legit, you are only deluding yourself into thinking you're better than you are and it's not hurting us: it's only hurting you.

Which is true? I don't actually care.

I dont see why you give a **** if PTR has you down more than you are. A bigger issue should be that you are down $300 at micros, and maybe you should be figuring out why that is instead of worrying about how other players see you.

OP, why do you care?

I have been called a fish today after getting my flush and getting all the money in on the flop with straight/flush draw which was totally standard. Then the guy who lost starts berating me(64/8) and a 50/12 shortstack also calls me a fish. You know what I did? I added them to my buddy list.

In other posts itt, you've referred to people by the following terms: tard, nit, whale, fish, and donk.

Ever think you bring this behavior on yourself with your deprecating, holier-than-Ivey attitude?

You treat people like shat and they laugh and shine a mirror on you. The mirror's warped and got smudges on it, but it's what people have. Nobody likes the loud-mouth jerk-off. Here's some advice from a recreational micro-break-even player:
* Work on your empathy. Do you want to be likened to an unintelligent being (fish, donky, ******)? Then stop thinking of people in these terms, because beleive it or not, your condescension comes through.
* Stop with the chat-wars. You don't gain anything by it. If you wouldn't say something to someone's face, don't say it in chat. You'll end up pissing off the guy you're at war with al well as the rest of the table, and they'll tighten up against you and bust you. If you've got enough time to talk smack in chat, you've got enough time to open another cash table.
* Quit playing HU. The only people that'll sit with your are people whove scope you out and feel they have and edge agaist you which, obviously they do. If you're such a bad-arse @ 2NL/5NL stick with it.
* Quit blaming others (ptr) for your own failure. In poker and in life, you've got to be honest with yourself it you're going to get ahead.
