Guys... I'm at a loss here.

On my bankroll challenge I am $10 down after 5k hands. I am certain that I'd be an at least break even player if it wasn't for stupid call-downs/shoves like this....

It's easy to say you're probably behind just fold. But its hard to differentiate between calling and folding in these situations, because I can't just fold all of them.

How can I make sense of this? How do I prevent myself from having a winning session and them spewing my profits on stuff like this?

For this hand I would 3 bet more pre flop then stack off on any flop as you should have a pot sized bet behind where you will be ahead often enough for it to be profitable. I think you are being a little results oriented. You may have leaks but a 5k hand sample isn't a lot at all. Study more about boards to c bet and at the lower stakes a raise means strength, especially from loose passives. Learn when to check, bet, raise and sidings etc. And you should crush 2NL

In the hand listed, as soon as someone can tell me how to , with no reads, extract maximum value with an overpair from a player with TPTK without leaving yourself vulnerable to stacking off to a set, I will be all ears. In many games, players will play TPTK the same as they would a set, so it is difficult to know when you are the trapper and when you are the prey.

It’s just a game.

Read up on the profitability of bluffcatchers. This is how it works:

Call/(final pot)= your % investment.

This is how much realizable equity you need to call a bet. Vs good opponents the value of (realizable equity) will be quite close to (your % investment) with bluffcatchers.

Selection bias.

Post some of the hands that occurred during the 5K sessions where you were behind and caught up. Particularly looking for a PF call with a small pocket pair that flopped a set.

Never, ever fold hands like this. I mean, maaaaaybe if villain types "I have a set please call" into the chat you can consider it but even then...

Good advice above but also 5K hands is meaningless. You going to get into online nlhe cash in any serious way, you going to see downswings 10-20k all the time. Including at micro stakes.

I understand it swings both. This isn't a whiney bad beat story, it's a tilt-based question as I feel I sometime call-down in situation I expect to be behind. Although, it seems that people are saying stacking off here isn't awful and I should take the losses on the chin

You had a good hand that ran into a better hand. It is going to happen. Those losses are much easier for me to take than taking a loss where the villain has Q2 in this hand. Those type of losses are the losses that piss me off.

Actually your question header was about tilting more so then HOW you got there.
Anyway IF I feel I am on tilt or about to tilt for what ever reason.
I just take a 10 min walk until I cool off.

Learn to be comfortable with the fact that once you're on the flop if you call a raise all in you've got a good chance of being beat, and when it's short stacks like you were, you made the right play long term.

It is something worth to try to figure out in nlh and plo, if the opponents on average or the specific opponent or the type has a loose enough range to make calling correct. Many do not have, and this includes tourneys and even limit holdem when one tries to figure out the opponent's range. But things like this look pretty standard calls for multitabling players. I play just two tables and can make more folds as well as more calls.
