any books? blogs? posts? videos? that anyone can recommend?

or just general advice?

ive been killing tournaments lately... but havent been able to close the deal

ive had 6 final tables this week... 3 of those final tables were in 1000+ fields... and i finished 3rd all 3 times in the larger fields... granted, im certainly happy with my results... but im obviously missing something in my end game play... all 3 times we were either even in chips... or i was chip leader... with 3 left... and i got 3rd all 3 times... its not as if i was a short stack clinging on... i had chips to play with and still couldnt close the deal

i plan on re-reading a lot of HOH2 this weekend for some guidance but if anyone has any other good suggestions id appreciate it

thanks

this part of the game is very complex. I would recommend playing many hands, somewhere upwards of 100 thousand before getting more in depth with this.

Playing some 6max cash games should help your end game tremendously.

don't you think 6max SNGs would be a better choice?

Try to cut and past some hand histories and study them.

Maybe you weren't doing anything wrong, maybe you were just getting unlucky.

good advice... i already put my HHs in a replayer and im going to analyze my end game in close detail... was just wondering if anyone ever came across something that could point me in the right direction... general strategies, etc

im pretty sure i was doing some things "wrong"... and even if i wasnt... i just didnt feel comfortable, i really just felt out of my element... i play a ton of SNGs... and 4 handed or 3 handed in SNGs your decisions are pretty simple... push... fold... and the occasional call..

thanks for all the advice guys... i think playing 6 max will help alot... i want to stay away from SNGs because they just become a push/fold thing when the bubble comes and im pretty comfortable there... but 6 max ring games will help i think... dont know why i didnt think of that... duh

i used to find that when i got down to this situation that i was just recklessly aggressive and not situationally aggressive i.e. knowing how my opponnets are playing, etc. i would bet with ATC pre flop, bet again on flop, etc, and not adjust. now i realise that yes, u do have to be aggressive, but u have to be aware of the situation. is one player just hanging on to get to 2nd? or has someone taken the approach of shoving every hand?

not sure if this is ur problem, or not appropriate to u at all, but this is one of the problems i found that i was making...
