A good way to start ? A good way to start ?

basically I'm playing for 6 months now and I'm concerned about volume. I feel like I'm not playing enough.

How many HUSNG should I play daily ( I play max 10 per day ) I think I could do more but of different reasons I don't .

This is my graph

I have 57 wins 44 losses at HU ( +4$ ) - no rank according to pokerprolabs
at MTT I'm like K**** but -75$
and at SNGs which I feel I'm the weakest I'm +350$

- how good is that ?

Should I continue with HUSNG until I get a better winning rate ? and how many per day should I aim for ? Or to stick with the MTT/SNG

Basically what I feel I have a decent shot is the 2$ 90 man SNG ( I have a lot of final table finishes there )

And what's the deal with turbos ? I seem to do extremely poorly at it

I heard about these people crushing 2NL .. or 5$ 45 SNG and so .. I don't feel like I'm crushing anything atm

what is your actual question

if you don't feel like you play enough then play more

The question is if volume and specialization into a certain kind of poker helps your game or not ? Or is it better to mix it up

specialise in whichever you enjoy more/find yourself with a natural understanding of

the more volume you put in both playing and studying the quicker you'll improve

I enjoy most HU - but it's also the tiltiest . So I do enjoy it .. I love the wins - but when I lose - sometimes I get really on tilt - it seems to me I got outflopped outlucked and everything else.

It does happens sometimes to get completely outplayed ( rarely though ) then I'm fine because he was better than me so he deserved the win.

And with SNG/MTT I run quite good at the beginning then blow it at the end because I lose some flip at best. I'm quite decent at the final table though.
Pretty good with a short stack and with a big stack - medium stack I'm doomed

And is it better to set goals like :

1. make 30$ today
or
2. play 20 games today

I sometimes win and then stop because I did good and I'm satisfied with the results so my good sessions are shorter than the bad ones. Should I push for more then ?

I would say if you lose more than 5buyins dont play for a few hours, thats about it.

Play more. 20, 40, 80. We really can't tell you. play as many as you can handle and stay profitable. Or try cash/ring

Good luck

def option 2 - otherwise you end up chasing losses.

if you're prone to tilt and you can't take the variance of HU then it's perhaps better to ply your trade elsewhere

I am a proponent of playing as much as is possible win or loss as long as you are making the right decisions. I don't play SnG's myself except for an odd one here and there but since most seem to think you need thousands to give you a real idea of how good/bad you are at them I would multitable the hell out of them. You could knock out 10 in an hour and a half - 2 hours (single table SnG) just by 6-8 tabling.
