Hi, ok I'm not a beginner, I have been playing since 2003. But I never used bankroll management. I have just played for fun or spun my wheels basically for my career playing poker.
now I am using bankroll management and trying to give it a serious go. I put only $25 on with the hope of building it up. I played $7 sng. I know this isn't bankroll management but I mean once I get my bankroll up from the start I will stay at $7 and use management.
so I got it to about $450 in 10 days. after a few bad variance days where I couldn't win a hand I got it down to $320 then things started to stabilize alittle and I got it back up to $370. so in about 12 days I got my $25 up to $370.
my serious questions is.. is this good? how would you look at this. is this good, ok, or just eh? $25 to $450 seems pretty decent. But you could also look at it that I put a lot of work grinding and only have $370.
I really just want to know how you would rate my 12 day session. thanks

Playing since 2003...do you realistically believe you can make a few thousand a month?

If you could....wouldn't you already be at that level?

I made that much in the 2006-2010 era online playing a few hours each night. The games online have gotten significantly tougher as the fields compressed after Black Friday. Good Luck.

When you only play with $200 or so and play $30 or $50 or sit with 1 or 2 buyins at a cash game you don't stand a chance. that's wht I have done. now playing with 50 buyins Its a different situation, yes.

That "management" actually doesn't matter if reloading online is easy.

So what if you go busto? Reload and play on.

Training budget as opposed to bankroll....until you are a poker pro. Hobby vs. Career.

If you are going pro, I would be more concerned with winrate than BRM at the start.

Most people that play poker are long term losers so any positive is good. That said, it’s hard to know if you’re playing well or just running hot. Over 12 days i can’t tell you which

It's highly unlikely that you played a worthwhile sample in 10 days. There's some merit in setting seemingly unattainable goals but 'a few thousand a month' is an extremely lofty ambition. Maybe wait until your sure you are a winning player and have moved up from the micros and then re-evaluate.

minimum to avg bankroll for sng is 50 buyins =$350 meaning I'm already there? meaning its moot point anyway

You asked how we would rate your last 12 days, so....

You ran it up from 4 buy ins which was extremely unlikely so you got very lucky.

You seem to take it as an insult when I say you got lucky. There is nothing else I can tell you other than you were lucky when you start with 4 buy ins, I don't know what you expected. There is nothing wrong with getting lucky.
