What kind of range of hands do you believe he was 3b'ing, OP? If he's been 3b'ing a lot/regularly, then I might lean twords a 4b/call pre. If he's been tight or you have no reads, then you can prob call and evaluate based on the flop texture and his action.
You should develop a plan for the hand when deciding what to do after he 3b's you... Are we c/r'ing on undercard flops? b/c'ing? If you have a plan for what you're gonna do post flop when making the decision pre flop, it makes the hand overall easier to play.
