Im just worried i wreck my hard work in just 1 or 2 tournaments, so i think BR is important for me.

Why is Sit and Go better then MTT?

If you have $20 from freeroll, don't go out and play a $5. Just play $1. But don't worry about building a huge BR off of freerolls. If you win $3, play a couple $1's, if you lose them all, go back to freeroll. Don't just freeroll, freeroll, freeroll, because it will take forever.

Here's my advice for freerolls: 28 pays the same as 2700 and a bunch of idiots are willing to call all ins with crap like J9 or K3. I use the pushbot chart for the entire tourney. Basically push all in if no one has raised yet with A9+, A8s+, 55+. This way you either have a huge stack after the first hour or you move on. You could play normal after that but I don't like to play that way until the FT if I even have enough chips. Sounds kinda crazy but I won $23 on Absolute and $7 on Full Tilt in the same day doing this, course I busted in about 15 others but that's standard and rarely did I waste over an hour without cashing

If you've read the STT forum stickies - u should've seen that a four game losing streak in SNGs are seriously nothing due to the high variance of the game.

You've still got 12-13 buy-ins left at $1.25. But then again - if you got heaps of time to burn; and you believe your better at playing freeroll/$1 MTT; go for it. Just know that you should only be cashing 10% of all the MTTs you play compared to the 30% (if your a breakeven player) at STT SNGs.

Good luck

If you're actually concerned about the possibility of losing a $20 bankroll, I suggest you stick to freerolling until you've built it up to some larger amount, then take part of it to the cash tables and/or buyin tournaments. Say you freeroll until you have $50. Then maybe the prospect of losing $20 won't bother you as much since it won't be your entire roll.

That said, I don't think trying to build a roll from freerolls like FTP's makes a lot of sense. Look at how many hours you have to play to win $20 from them. Then consider how much quicker it would be to go work at something to make an extra $20, and to bankroll yourself that way.

true,
tonight im freerolling, then im sng'ing.. then im freerolling.. etc
just building it easy
and im not afraid to lose 20, but as you say.. its hard work to build 20 on freerolling, so its pain to lose it

Interesting strategy but only if you have time to play many freerolls in one day...
