First day of online poker Analyze my stats and graph help? First day of online poker Analyze my stats and graph help?

Ok so I successfully deposited onto Carbon and completed my first three sessions of online poker. It was a big shock at the difference between the games but I feel like I caught on to the game flow pretty quickly. (I did go a little crazy when I first found out people fold online, never had this in live poker so I raised pretty much ATC in the late positions lol {leak?}).

So my main question is, how do I "look back at a session" and maximize the HEM2 program? (I just pretty much replay my sick beats for entertainment and I know that is not what maximizing is lol). What is YOUR routine for analyzing a session? (I need a good base to build off).

And also notice my stats/graph and any thoughts and or possible leaks I should look for would be really appreciated as I don't really know what to look for. (I do but I really don't you know what I mean?)

[mod delete of broken links]

and here is my live graph from January I talked about in my Introduction post:

[mod delete of broken links]

CLIFFS:

How to/a good way to look back on sessions to plug leaks/improve? (using HEM2)

Comment on my play and stats. what am I doing good and bad?

Thanks!

Links not working (asterisks in filenames). You might be too new to edit the post. Try again by posting the direct link inside IMG tags, as explained in the FAQ.

Click on your name, there should be an option to find all your posts that way.

You can see your earlier posts by clicking on your name in a thread.

These links are still broken. Did you get hit by the ****ing profanity filter?

I don't know why nobody has mentioned this but there's nothing anyone can tell you by viewing a graph representing a day's worth of hands.

Or a week.

Or a month unless you're putting in volume.

My advice would be to post hands where you have confusion or questions.

glgl!

ok sounds fair enough. I was just thinking if someone could look at my stats to see if i'm on the right track. (my samples 4k hands so far lol).

just simple stuff like "looks like your playing too many/little hands" or something. I was trying to see how I was looking before I get too deep into it (I want to correct potential problems early, like day 1 if possible haha)

but yeah, got it, i'll just play some more and see if I run into tough spots .
thanks

^ Well it's like 8hours 6tabling but it's hard to think someone new to online could do that I did know a live pro though who just went online and for some reason started to 24 table LHE (?????) the whole day, he said he had done the math and thought he was gonna SNE on .02/.04 limit. I was like WTF but let him figure it out for himself

To OP, there should be several "how to optimally use HEM" threads in here, you could try the search forum button as I don't exactly know where they are.
Furthermore, try the Micro Stakes NL forum for 6max or Micro Full Ring, assuming that's what you started out with. GL

If you read my OP in the first sentence it says first 3 sessions over 3 days (I know title says first day, its to emphasize newness), today being the third. (I actually 2-table NL25 and I tried 3-tabled on my 2nd session and didnt do well so went back to two). I'm new to online poker not poker btw.

Thanks for the links I will check them out.

heres my some of my stats for perspective:

VPIP= 32.2
PFR= 24
3-bet= 11.3
WTSD% (what is this?)= 26.
W$SD% (what is this?)= 49.1
Agg= 3.71
Agg %= 51.p

There are more people in the micros forum and its users seem to post a lot of hand reviews everyday, so I'd say there. Just do not post more than two hands a day (general rule adopted by those forums).

If you look at the top of this forum, you'll see a sticky thread for posting HEM stats for analysis.

Play some more hands, then post in there.

Individual hands that you want to talk about, create a new thread for them, or post them in the bankroll thread (or post them in uNL or FR uNL forums).

at first glance, you appear to be too loose. over 30% vpip is fishy territory.

I play around 28/26/12 sometimes and I think I'm a little bit too loose with that - I think 24/22/10 would be better as a solid LAGish style

32 seems high and I think you should have more like 32/27 if so as a better ratio...you seem to call or call too many raises (normal for live transition).
But maybe it works for you, cannot exactly tell - it just looks like you play too many hands

Agg is fine and high as expected

WTSD - went to showdown percentage (out of the hands you play)
W$SD - won at showdown. With 49% you lose more often than you win, which is normal for a lag style/redline player.

I play 25NL 6max.

thanks chad and fanap for the stat review. I figured I was a bit too loose because I would lose alot of showdowns (bluffs, or sometimes ppl will slowplay their AQ on a Q board lol) I'm learning fast though. (I'm surprised that it is ok to have a "losing showdown" line, that's why i panicked and figured i needed to fix something. thank goodness it is somewhat normal. didn't realize this is how I play live lol)

I think the "calling too much" may come from me flatting with like 56s+ and KQs kind of hands if I'm in late position (ussually raise, but sometimes flat). Sometimes, (ok alot) I will play ATC if I have position and float/steal somewhere along the board jus because (possible leak). I also learned that ppl don't like to pay off when I hit hard with 76s type hands so I may stop playing the one/2-gappers soooooted lol I'll stick to the "premium" one gap stack crackers) I also like 3-betting too much maybe but I know when i'm on the button i'm almost insta-raising to steal blinds so I figured other ppl are too and I take down a good amount.

I think I will tighten up and try a 28/26/12. man online is fun. I can also see how people think it is rigged sometime tho lol but I took some of the grossest beats live so it dosn't even surprise me good thing.

I guess I should ask, since it seems there are some lags here, what are your general guidelines for speculative hands?

Well so far I am just breaking even at $16 (1.40bb/100) up over basically 5k hands now. it's been a crazy first 4 days of playing and learning so I am really enjoying learning this game (it's VERY different if you never played live for a while).

Cant wait to figure out how to post hands, i'm looking it up in the threads right now so I can ask some questions.

When first starting, it's much better to play really really tight. If you have a VPIP of 12 or less, you won't play many hands, but you'll have a lot of time to watch the action and make notes on other players. You'll also see what kind of hands are played, and what are typical bet-sizes. When you do play a hand, it will be a strong one, so it will usually play itself, and should lead to profit. I think it's crucial for a beginner to play very tight at first, as this reduces the variance you will be subject to. If you play a 34/16 style, you could win big or you could rapidly go busto. Don't go busto. Play tight.
