So Im a liveplayer playing mostly 1-2NL. Ive always felt I was a winning player but I didnt really know, I wasnt keeping records. So Ive recorded my last 46 sessions probably 6 to 8 hours each on average and have profited about 5K. Is this enough data if not how much data is needed to prove your a winning player?

most people say you need at least 2-300k hands to know if you are a winning player long term in the stakes you play.

i would say that generally 50k+ would tell you that.

based on that, live play is about 20 hands per hour. Lets say 7 hrs per session at 46 sessions.

so 20 * 7 = 140 hands per session
140 * 46 = 6440 hands played

so no, not even close.

I'll do some of the artihmetic:
46 sessions x 7 hours x 30 hands/hour =~ 9660 hands. Let's round it to 10k hands.

$5000 = 2500 big blinds.

Estimated winrate = (2500 / 10000) x 100 = 25 bb/100

Even if it's actually 40 hands/hour, that's still 15 bb/100 or so. Pretty impressive, and almost certainly.
So I disagree with peanutym. It COULD be just rungood, but this is a huge winrate, even over smallish sample in the 10k range.
