This hand i didn't feel so hot about so i wanted some critiques.
villian is playing 38/31/50/100fold to 3 bet over about 50 hands (yes small sample)

My thoughts - I watched this player raise a few hands in a row so with 22 i figured i would try and catch him. Probably should have raised but I wanted to see his action first. Limped then called. check raised him on flop and decided to throw 1/2 pot bet on the turn with idea that was last money in the pot from me if he called. Is my thinking horribly wrong? Another note. Any 3 bet on the flop or him coming over the top i was off that hand in a hurry.

In general, I think it's spewy to check-raise bluff in the micros. If you do decide to raise, then don't minraise. Make a it pot-sized raise so you harness some fold equity.
On this flop, you often have the best hand, so peeling one off and seeing what villain does on the turn is often the best policy.
Basically, I think you're trying to be tricky and it will often be counter-productive. Just go set-mining as normal. Bink a set, get it in. Whiff on the flop, fold.

when bluffing and repping a very small range, ask yourself "Why?"

#2....this is very close to an auto-fold PF for me.....without a better read that says villain will pay me off when I hit my set. As played, I will usually c/f the flop.
