Do you need to have a 3-bet and 4-bet bluff as part of your arsenal to be successful at cash? Do you need to have a 3-bet and 4-bet bluff as part of your arsenal to be successful at cash?

I haven't played micro-stakes so this doesn't really relate to those stakes where I guess the answer would be different.

But at say NL100 what is the difference between having these moves as part of your game and not having them? Everyone seems to have a high fold to 3-bet % so it's obviously profitable if employed well.

On the other hand I know you can be profitable without these moves but how profitable is I guess what I'm wondering?

Is this too general a question?

well think about it- if i know you cant 3 or 4bet bluff, then i would know that you have a really good hand every time you 3 or 4bet. that wouldn't be good for you.
ive found that these moves can be pretty profitable, but obviously when used properly against thinking opponents

It be a powerful wepeon when used properly. I dont think its needed though. Its also a high risk high reward play.

Just remember you can only bluff good players.

I think this is more true on later streets. Bad players can fold and fold too much pre-flop. They _very_ rarely fold too much on the flop or turn.

It would make you even more successful but I still think you can be successful just playing abc at those stakes.

If you know how to employ it properly, then yes.

If you don't, it'll become a big leak in your game.

I'm still a microstakes grinder but I believe 3betting from the blinds agst a loose CO/BTN opener shld be incorporated. Of cos this requires HUD assistance.

You slowly get more comfortable, try playing some HU where light 3betting, 4betting and even 5 betting happens pretty often.
