i have trouble to figure out the range my opponents call my 3bet with.

is it just their positional vpip minus their 4bet range?

or is it positional pfr minus 4bet range?

is my image really important for that at nl25?
also position?

Look at his Ft3BET and PFR stats.

Example, if his PFR is 9% and his Ft3BET 90%, he is continuing with ~0.9% of his hands (KK+). So it is safe to say he will probably 4bet those hands.

However, if someone's Ft3BET is lower, lets say something like 68%, he will 4bet the top of his range, but call with around JJ/QQ maybe AK.

Basically it is the hands that Villain raises with from that position less the hands that fold to a 3-bet and the hands that 4-bet.

You can essentially take his raising range, knock out the top and bottom, adjusting for how loose/aggressive he is, and what's left is going to be the calling range. Generally if Villain is in position, he's going to turn up with mid pocket pairs, suited broadway, and aces that he can't bring himself to fold. Out of position, the range is probably narrower - I think Fees' guide says you should estimate the range to be JJ, QQ and AQ.

if their oop range would be just JJ, QQ and AQ my life would be a lot easier...

What stakes do you play? Anyway, if you have a lot of hands on a villain it can be really easy to determine someone's 3bet calling range, look at Ft3BET stat it is very informative.

And obviously it depends on the type of villain you playing against. But without specific hands, it is hard to give more specific advice.

I would still use that as the baseline and then expand based on your reads/history. If Villain is loose enough to call with mediocre aces, dominated broadway, then you can widen your value 3-bet range. If he is adding low-mid pocket pairs to his range, then you need to figure out whether he is peeling the flop as well, since he will basically never have an overpair.
