Ridiculous at FTP - 3 or 4 at a 10NL table with 30+ VPIP.

Considered overbetting river here as I've seen you lot do, but when I've tried it before, nothing but folds.
Guess he might have called more but he's never raising with those stats

Yeah I really only had 9 months out of this year since I was in america for the rest, so 100K next year would be easy. Going for 200kVPP which should be a challenge

Okay, looks like I'm not rolled for 16nl then. :/
Just had one of the worst sessions I've booked this month. -7 BI. Honestly, my play wasn't so terrible. People just turned up with better so frequently.

Only one out of the 5 or so sets I had won, and that was because the other play had a lower set. AA vs. QQ on 652r, where villain donks for 1/3rd pot, and then turns a Q. Meh, what can ya do?

Looks like I won't be able to move up for a while though.

    ^lol, nice whaling!

    @Gamma, nice one mate, congrats!

@Oly. I'm amazed at how swingy ur game seems to be and wonder if you're making to many rash decisions or crazy plays that will lose you money in the long run?
I'm presuming you have some disposable income to keep reloading, but maybe get some volume in at 10nl and really work on your game before looking to move up so quickly? Just because you have enough BIs doesn't mean you should move up necessarily.
Just my 2c from seeing what you post here mate

Today I just ran pretty poorly, to be honest.
There were some bad plays too, but people just ended up with better.

These hands then caused some tilt issues, where I then proceeded to pay people off in spots where I could have made the right decisions if I was in the right mindset.

There are some huge leaks in my game though. As Birdayy just pointed out to me on Skype, there are periods where I'll be rather solid, only to spew in a couple of hands and lose my profit. I think my biggest weakness is my mind, which unfortunately is a rather difficult thing to help/improve. It's not like your gameplan where you can just say "Okay, I'll start folding KTo to a 3bet because it just doesn't play well", nom sayin?

To be honest, I want to move out of 10nl as quickly as possible, because it's just such a boring/wtf limit. I've just stopped finding it enjoyable.

I'll have some people sweat me soon though. Hopefully they'll be able to pick up some things I'm doing wrong and steer me in the right direction.
              12-28-2013 , 05:00 AM
Well from the sounds of it, and as you admit, you have mental game issues. Work on them. Have you read The Mental Game of Poker or watched any vids on the subject? It's an area worth as much, if not more, work than your actual game.

Your mindset is completely wrong if you're looking at 10nl in the way you describe anyway, but you won't win at any level if you can't just knuckle down and get it done. A sweat session may help ur game, but it's not gonna stop you tilting when no one is there to see it and so you'll always lose in the long run.

Tbh, I'd play at least 2 of those hands you've posted differently too

I could imagine you looking to shove turn with TT, and just flat the flop with 33 right? That'd be the usual lines I'd hear people mention on these forums.

TT, it was a mistake to not shove turn. Wasn't sure if there were many hands in his range that would check back flop and then call a turn jam though.

33, raised because CO is a fish and I don't really represent much expect for air, so I could expect him to call with anything worse in and be able to jam most turns for value.

              Anyway, thoughts on this?

Villain is a terribad aggrodonk who never thinks beyond "I has cards".

Just out of interest what is your though process in this hand? Is it effectively a cooler as he only calls with basically what he has?

What do you think of his flop play? And why barrel the turn? Do we not have enough combos with clubs or at least a better draw we can barrel?

Played a small session. Made the right decision to play 5nl thinking that you're most prone to make mistakes during first session.
Had really hard time to adjust mentally for the fact that villains may bluff me. I reviewed a lot of hands and a common theme seemed to be floating:

H1 fold pre. You'll be oop often, and often be against a range that beats you, and will often have little fold equity. The big hands you can make are obvious when they hit, so your IO aren't great. As played I'm folding flop because he donked into two people.

H2 Odds that he misclicked vs odds he is a fish ...I don't like the odds. Flatting pre or folding are both fine.

H3 Unless you have a read on MP, I'd fold pre. As played, postflop is fine since villain should be firing this board close to 100%.

H4 Look at all the draws that bricked! Also you could go bigger OTT.

H5 Such a small raise, but I don't have the guts to pull the trigger, I fold. Likely AK that peeled. Or 98s/T9s. In fact it's probably a 9.
