you may have done right with the jacks or guessed really wrong. thats poker.
review your betting and how it may have been improved. then move on.
You're definitely right. Had I not been exhausted, I would have noticed that the maniac had never gone all-in with his entire stack before. He was betting $50-$80 before every flop but not going all-in. When he went all-in, I should have figured he finally had a hand.

Again, I had been playing for many many hours and was exhausted. Very very stupid of me to even stay. I remember I had gone up to get my racks and get ready to leave, but I kept playing anyway. Sometimes, that voice in the back of your head says, "one more big score....one more....and THEN you can leave."

Stupid.

Just recently sat at a table in Ceaser's, there was a wasted guy confronting the waitress for not bringing salt with his corona n lime. Screaming at all the players especially when re-raising him and making him fold and asking if people "knew who he was" made the whole table upset and less relaxed. I was winning hand over fist until this douche made everyone leave and broke the table.

Stupid jackasses.

I get that a lot in our casino, if your strong enough throw gas into the fire, that way you will get his whole roll eventually and he will walk out a sore looser, think of him as a sore ****ing looser and not too come in and gamble after he had a artgument with his wife, **** him but keep cool yourself. The revenge I got? I 3bet him preflop, he was already steaming and called with half his stack, he virtually abused me as this was happening, we both flopped sets, mine was higher, my revenge was his chips being pushed to me by the dealer, all I could think was **** you mother****er hahaha, it's better if your stack is at least five times bigger than his.

I literally cannot think of any retort which would concern me in a casino if I can say "thanks for your stack".

Maybe if you approach the situation the same way casino does it will help you. Casino is there for your money so it doesn't matter if you are drunk or sober until:
a. you are producing money for them
b. non-violent
do same thing - he is upset, but aren't you are getting paid

Oh, I love maniacs (even rude ones) if they're losing. What drives me crazy is when a maniac sucks out in a huge way and hits a big hand and starts taunting and celebrating. That makes me want to punch them.

I spent some time thinking about what might tilt me the most, and it probably would be someone going after my family. But even then, I have to keep everything in perspective.

If someone makes a comment about a member of my family, my job isn't to defend my famiily's honor. My job is to bring money home to my family.

You described the best possible game to stay at until that guy is cleaned out.
