I've never been to one myself, but I'd imagine that its for bars/restaurants hosting games to attract customers and sell more drinks. The last thing they want is "serious players" who don't want to mess with their game by drinking.

Yeah, I thought you just wanted to drink and play cards with people you didn't really know. Bar poker's not about grindin' out dem maneys pretty much ever.

Well, I do. I love going out and drinking with friends. A lil too much heh heh.

But if im gonna sit down for 3 hours and play cards I want some reward if I win. Otherwise, i'd rather just drink.

Most drunkaments aren't that serious. I get as much, if not more, enjoyment out of the social aspect and booze. Plus, some of the plays people make are just totally hilarious...

I think you have KK's...... I call *turns JJ?* lols. There are other players who never raise preflop. Such a laugh.

Our local pub league gives out bar tabs and prizes every single tournament. Even an 18 player tournament winner gets like $40 bar tab. Also have a tournament once a month where winner gets a bahamas cruise and 2nd place gets like $300 or something
11-05-2010 , 12:09 PM
Oh they also give out a couple dif $1.5k wsop seats for different leaderboard things...not really sure, I've only played with them a couple times but I play in a home game one of the dealers runs and I'm an on call dealer for the league when they need someone last minute

just win $10 a day between now and then

guarantees at 50 players it's a month away and I doubt many people know about it unless I missed something. Stars might well provide cheaper sats nearer the time especially if we email them and ask.

Started constructing a crude plo8 icm engine atm haven't been able to find one elsewhere. Cheaper to code badly than play badly

because that is dodgy as bro and you'd have to arrange a game on the side and do it all under the table or leave and go to someone elses house. with strangers thats simply not the sort of gambling im into. even though my edge would be significant against these random pubdonkament players its not worth the time or the risk. besides pub poker is so so bad and i'd have to be drinking to tolerate it which kills any $ edge.....the ignorance of the idiots who think they are gods gift because they flop good with trash is at times overwealming.

if i could go to a venue close to me and play for real/beer monies then that would be great but alas i dont leave near the one casino in my city. ergo....online poker is what i do.

I'm not sure if you're leveling but here goes..

A '€' is a 'Euro' a European unit of currency used in most western European Countries.

The '€' is a bit like a '$' only less owned by the Chinese.

Many years ago, I used to work on systems that dealt in currencies, and a "Euro-Dollar" was a US Dollar deposited in a country outside the US. I wanted there to be a "Euro-Euro", but I'm not sure there is such a thing (its years since I've been in that world).

Well I reckon you have way more knowledge than me on the subject, I'm way out of my depth here tbh and am puzzled by the whole thing.

I mean money is fancy paper yeah? So what is it that gives it value?

*me clueless*
