I mostly play on one computer but,on occassion I play on the laptop. Is there a good way to maintain my database with hands played on both computers? I use PT3 if that matters. US player so Stars email HH system is not useful. All hands are being played on RPM right now.

Is it possible to export individual sessions (or hands played on a particular date(s)) from one computer, and then import 'em into the other?

So, if you play a session on the laptop, when session is over, export to a file, upload file to Dropbox or something similar, to that you can then import that file into PT on your desktop machine without the need for USB sticks or emailing stuff to yourself.

If PT doesn't allow you to export individual sessions (or hands played on defined dates) you could, when your session on the laptop is over, go to the folder where PT puts your hand histories when it's imported them from RPM, and upload those to Dropbox or similar. Then import into PT on your desktop next time you turn on your desktop.

In before someone gives us a one line, much simpler, solution.

Good Luck

Last time i played on 2 pcs after the session on pc no.2 i emailed the hh folder to myself/save draft and then copied the files to pc no.1 (edit** i didnt have a usb drive so you could just use one for a buckup of your hh folder and import the files)

I`m pretty sure pt3 auto imported from the file but there is a way to manually import

Looks like there's a 'selective export' feature:

Tutorial: Selective export

Just need to work out how to import into the other computer.

I wonder if lobbying RPMSeth might successfully encourage them to offer an email HH service similar to stars. I may try that as well.

If you post in the suggestion thread in the RPM sub, I will +1 and I'm sure others will as well. The people's voices usually carry lots of weight with Seth, and if that doesn't work, I know a guy......

Isn't it possible to run the database on one computer and PT3/play poker on other computer(s), so the database is updated where-ever you play??? (assuming you are connected by a network)

I save my hand history (not my database) in Dropbox (using the archive feature of holdem manager).

I then import history into holdem manager each time I change computers.

The disadvantage is that I still need to synchronize notes by hand (i.e by exporting notes into dropbox, and importing them back).

Saving the database itself would be an option, but it's bigger than hand history, and for backup purposes, hand history is more portable/reliable.
