I'm not folding here.

Villain has limped, bet 2/5 and 1/6 pot and called. He's a proper passive fish.

I'm putting him on a range of small/mid PP / 2 broadways.

If he has 22/44/77 I'm paying him off, but even a slowplaying fish usually tries to get more value from a boat here.

I would have raised his tiny bet on the turn here - if he had called down 2 raises then I would have given him more credit and would have folded to a river bet. As played though I'm calling.

Tough decision. You have to be good just over 40% of the time to call his river bet. At first I was thinking maybe he had a set or an overpair but this seems unlikely considering he didn't shove over your flop raise. Calling would have at least given you some info on how he plays. The more I think about it the more it seems like he had A8, or 98. At these stakes, he could have also had A4 or A2. Alot of microstakes players like to play any ace.

To answer your question, I don't see a huge difference between calling and folding in this spot. If forced to choose, however, I would tend to fold versus calling.

I'm folding here...the only hands I think he makes the large river bet is with a set. Since he didn't 3bet pre I can't put him on KK+, AK...he limps then calls your bet...he won't raise with his hand...but he feels its too good to fold....I think 88 or 77 fits.

He could also have 56s for the double-gutter that got there. The line does fit for this hand for passive-fish. Limp-call, blocker-bet/call, blocker-bet, bet.

I probably have to fold here. He very well may have an 8. It's hard to tell how much credit to give a fish, but he may have limped in with 8x connectors, flopped top pair, and made a modest bet to try to get you out of the pot if you missed it with your overcards. Then he hits trips on the turn and tries to slowplay it a little bit. 7 on the river finishes up the 56 draw if he had that.

His line really seems like a misguided slowplay, either the full house or the 8s (if it is, he really failed to get much value out of it). Either that or he's got some random 2 pair like a 7 or some other pocket pair, it sucks when you have no idea with people like this, he bought in for less than full and almost regardless of what he had here he probably botched it pretty badly, but I probably just give him credit and fold this time.

^^ yes, he could have had any of these hands played really badly. He can also have A7, A4, QT and a bunch of other junk that these guys will limp/call PF with.

Just yesterday I was bet 4 times (I think) on the river by different fish holding bottom pair.

The overpair may not be good, but at 2.5:1 I think its good enough of the time to call here.
