Over at party im playing 0.2/0.4 NL and im confused as to whether this counts as 5NL or 4NL because when i sit down i usually buy in for the full amount allowed which is $5 ( 125 BB)

All this relates to whether i will need $100 or $ 80 to play this limit using the 5% bankroll rule

well, if you buy in for $5, and want to follow the 20 BI rule (5%), you need 100.

You are playing 4NL, but if you want to have 20BI, you should use full buy-ins imo, since that is what you are actually risking.

tell people 5nl they will think your a bigger baller then if you played 4nl obv.


but like they said just make sure you buy in full and have 20 BI for that

You're right in that .4NL would, indeed, mean 40NL.
