one of my roomates watched me final table a $7 turbo and got into poker and decided he wanted to start playing.

we play in .25 45 mans and have last longer bets, will we get in trouble for playing the same game from the same ip?

The whole time I was reading this post I was preparing to say, "ya dun goofed, they're going to back trace you". But then I got to the end and you posed a legitimate question. I dunno

no, it is fine but be prepared to show ID for the both of you.

As long as you play eachother as you would anybody else there shouldn't be a problem and it isn't collusion

And since you're going to get flagged and reviewed anyways might as well send support a message 'asking' them if you are allowed to. That's what I did and support wrote back yes plus the exact rules and everything.

As long as you are not sharing any information (ie hole cards or previous hand history with players they did not observe) and play each other the same as you would everyone else, then you will be fine. Start "helping" each other with a friendly chip dump on the bubble or telling them you got a made hand and then you are crossing the line.

But I agree you might as well go ahead, if you have not already done so, and proactively tell the site of the situation and provide any information they want.

It will be fine on both full tilt and stars as they automatically block you from playing games you should not be in together, cash games, sngs with fewer than 45 players.
You can do mtt's and sng's with more than 45.
Just bear in mind if you hit final tables, as others have said, you need to play the way you would against anyone else.
However, I would send the email in case one of you want to cash out later, it could then get flagged.

I tried to play in the same tourney as my roomate and it would not let him join on pokerstars.

should be fine, but as others have said, I would notify the site just to be sure, and play to win no matter what... I have played my friend a couple times in PLO, but we were not at same house, and I stacked him a couple times, nothing better lol.

its fine, i think that people from the same loc can play in the same tourneys that has 45 players or more.

although you could be proactive and send an email to stars etc explaining the situation
