I was wondering what happens when you get coached, that is what do you go through

Is it things like hands histories, theories, BRM etc or is there more to it?

It's the best thing that I've ever done for my game. I'm thinking on a completely different level than I have ever. There are some great coaches on here, and for the knowledge you receive they are definitely worth the $. You just need to find the right person for you and in your price range.

There's a couple different things that you can go through. HH review, database review, sweats, general theory and group discussion.

You can also gear your lesson to what you want. Anything from table selection, to 3betting preflop, to cbetting.

If anyone asks me if they should get coaching I'll always say yes.

Thanks for the advice

What sort of cost would it be for a good coach at small stakes cash

Ive quit tournies and am concentrating at cash now as it seems easier to me (up about 10/15 BI over 3k hands)

You need a much much bigger sample, you are definitely on a heater over 3K hands there. 35-50bb/100 is no way sustainable.

I had coaching last year and it really helped. My coach just did hour sessions in holdem manager going through hand histories of filtered hands, such as 3bet pots, playing the blinds, etc.

We also discussed strategy vs different player types and table selection.

Coaching is definately a must if you're serious about improving. Mine was $225 for 5 1 hour sessions (although they were always over an hour, one was even 2 hours long lol) looking at hands from 25NL. The same rate would have applied for 100NL though, he didn't change the rate for each stake.

Different coaches will have different styles and rates, so it is good to look for reviews from players that have used the coach before.

I know i need more hands, but the 2NL players are just predictable and insane (shoving to a raise, reraise, 4bet pot with junk)

Im aiming for about 100k hands before i know my cash skill level (50k min)

that 3k hands include me losing 2 BI to set Vs my over pair in a big pot preflop

Ill try and get to about 30k hands and look into a coach then so i at least have some history to go over (and maybe some profit to pay for it)

Thanks for your help/advice guys
