Yeah you can play a nitty game at 10NL. Mass table and use some basic stats for a small profit.

After 25NL however, that type of style will be exploited by each and every reg.

If you plan on moving up and learning to play poker to a deep degree, I would suggest against mass tabling and being a nit. 6 table and try and get some reads!

But yeah, you can proffit by playing your hand and only your hand at 10NL. Just target the fish and value bet!

If you prefer to play tight (I do), then you'd be better off playing full ring games. 6-max is too aggressive and the swings are too uncomfortable for me.

but doesn't it take longer to make profit in the full ring?

It would make sense to start off playing a nitty game FR at 10nl. Then when you feel comfortable start thinking about moving up.

That entirely depends on your skills. As I understand it, if you play weaker players, then 6-max means you can make larger profits in less time, due to more hands per hour. If you can't beat the 6-max game, then you end up making bigger losses in a shorter time.
Try both types and keep accurate records of your bb/100 and also calculate your $/hr to see which works out best for you.

If you are super-focussed and can cope with multi-tabling short-handed tables, then you're on to a winner. Personally, I fall apart if I play more than 2 full ring tables, even though the pace is slower, but I know several nits playing 6 or more and grinding out a profit. I dread to think what would happen if I played 4 tables of 6-max like some people, as those games force you to make a decision every few seconds. One mis-click or hurried decision and you can get stacked.

If you are new to cash games, switch your mindset from small profit being a nit to trying to learn the game.

super tight will work somewhat in almost all games as long as you play the hands really well, and dont only win when you make the best hand.

but it is boring and far from making a decent rate.
