Can you add notes to notes.txt on Stars?

I was wondering, when I'm playing a rather big number of tables I can't really use any time to note someone, but today I thought, if I write them on a piece of paper with my free arm, can I add them to notes.txt afterwards using the right formulation as in the text?

You can edit the file in question by hand if you wish, I merge my data from different PC's/installs.
