oh ok, well

i've experienced a little variance since my last post started around 250
was up to 330, thought i knew what i was doing and increased my stakes
and was soon around 150, at that point i finally decided to reset and dropped back into the 2nl pool

figured myself out (hopefully) and now i'm back in 5nl
BR is at 265 now

i guess i'll be in 5nl for the foreseeable future

so i was playing 10nl 4 days ago and was like, i'll never get 1k left to keep my goldstar by the end of the month and i was severely tired from writing so many contracts. than i was marching to the chow hall and a lil birdie whispered something in my ear..

Been a very frustrating day. Decided to concentrate on SnG's today:
$5 SnG
Played:4 Won:2 Second:1 lost:1
overall profit:+$23
$11 SnG
Played:3 Won:1 Lost:2
overall profit:+$2
$5 buy-in $1400 mtt
Finished 300th out of 700 odd getting sucked out on when all-in with Ks against KAo when placed 180th and double through would of put me in top 20ish.
Overall profit -$5.50
Possible cost of new mouse having slammed fist onto old one
-14.00 GBP

Profiting now tho trying to get rolled for 5NL

wow ocnap , you are running very well. im keen to see graphs? and also how many hands is this over, number of tables, etc...
11-01-2009 , 04:44 AM
$18.30----->11.67

i think i hit some variance, might have tilted a tad bit, maybe i dont run well on weekends? or halloween? lol.

hit a low of ~$8, so started buying in for $1 at 2nl 6max. made almost 200bb's in my last session for the day.

will probably stick to $1 buyins for another session and go from there. i said to myself when i go over $12 i can buyin full, so dont want to break the rule, even if its for 30ish cents.

Here is a pretty good free video series regarding building a roll. He isn't an expert and doesn't claim to be but it does show one way to build up a small deposit. link

How many tables do you normally play at 10NL?

normally i just play 6 tables in general but 8 tables for 10nl max since im on a laptop on a blackberry connection. i've been away from home(military) for quite a while so gotta deal with ****ty settings. if ur thinking i made a hardcore grind towards the end at 10nl, i moved up a few stakes to pull in the VPPs

halloween weekend $222 ---> $612.99

lol yeah i know you moved up stakes, i was just wondering how many your normally MT since im starting to play cash games instead of SnG's and im on 10nl.

Another frustrating session. Dropped 2 and a bit BI's early, won a 5 man $5 SnG then entered a couple of $5 MTT's and found both were nigh on identical. Total grind for the first hour, think I played a total of 2 hands, then get bored and go out on a coinflip. Have come to the conclusion that, at this stage, MTT's are not for me.
Starting Bankroll $85.70 Finishing Bankroll$55.78

Bad session today, 4 table cash games.
No hands then all of a sudden all 4 tables go on a rampage of good hands andi actually lose money.

AA
KK
QQ
JJ
AKs
AKo
1010

I lost on them all except KK.

AA button and sb limped i raised it up, flop comes 910J
River is a Q he shoves i cant call.

QQ i raise, get re-raised
Flop comes AK8
Snap fold

JJ on J4A board
Hes holding AA

Then AKs
A73 board, guy calls me for his whole stake to the river with A4o
Rivers a 4 for 2 pair.

Amazing session, dont think it was possible to run such good hands and lose all but one.

Sheesh. I never want another month like october - move, new job, blah blah blah. Just got internet in the new place this week, was able to play maybe 300 hands the whole month.

gogogogo November - starting over with $30 on Stars, $30 on FT, and $10 on UB.

QFT. Snipa just suck it up and drive on, if you can't do that then take a break or take it to BBV. Deal with your own beats.

Your the one always whining and I am the bitch....lol

Anyway, finished my first week grinding 25NL. I work a lot so I was only able to play 5k hands, for +63.12. Its not great, but my EV was +232.72 so I think it was just running bad for a bit. Interesting spot here I am pretty sure its ok to get it in here but curious what you guys think.

He must have called with pp and made set or flopped straight with J 10, (leaning more towards set) you had so many outs against strong hands, cant see how you get away from that one.....results....btw how long have you been at 25NL, what did you get your roll to before taking shot?

decided to play some DoN turbos today, got in about 32, played nothing other than that today. learnt heaps from the DoN video this guy posted, cheers for this, i was previously a losing DoN player of all forms, maybe i was an idiot back then, but learnt the basuc idea and strategy which seems to work.

might play these in a bit more volume, my most recent session i played 10 tables, which was a nice comfortable number for me. will try again tomorrow and see how it goes, they seem to be a nice way to build a roll which is what this thread is all about.

45$ -> 69$

Been running quite bad, but its more than compensated by the quality of players playing this limit. Been 6-tabling, anything more than that I don't have nearly enough time to make any real decisions, it's just button mashing. To be honest, 6 is already too much for me but I just want to power through 2NL as fast as I can. Working out well so far.
