No hard feelings. Just posts like this and you're comment on my post aren't very helpful or about "building a br". But, I was serious about your advice being kind of helpful. Jamming the flop might have been a better play in hindsight. At the time I thought only better hands would call, and I could still get value out of the AQ type hands and draws with a reasonable flop bet.

I've been running pretty hot since i stepped down to 2/5NL. I've been running at a rate of about 22BB/100, BR back up to 70$

I live in a piss poor country, so that's actually quite decent money for me as laughable that may sound to you (a bit more than two minimum monthly wages). Gonna buy a laptop with that .

Now I'll be moving back to Full Tilt, with ~120$ to play with. 5NL, it's been a while. You're going down!

870$ -> 120$ (-cashout)
what laptop

Stopping for the day... almost have tilt control down but I notice my red line starts to go down after I lose a big hand. I think this is from me opening my range up too much to try and "win back" my money. Although I am way better than I use to be, I still need to fix this.

ur red line is goin down because ur not check-raising, getting people fold, not getting anything in the pot on the flop from someone. u could be playing looser and calling more but that is normal and/or cold carded. my red line goes down a lot unless i c/r people. most of my hands never see a turn unfortunately. im usually gunning for stacks by the turn so my red line never goes up. also 3 betting will raise red line but u gotta know who to 3bet.

BR-336

It was at 341 but I decided to test my ability to cope with variance and do a 5 dollar flip. I went on a heater like you read about today. Won a ton of huge pots and played really really well. It's nice when you have good sessions because you played well not cause you ran like god...though it helps to do both.

Yea I have been trying to do all of this... 3betting tags light, c/r when opponents range does not hit the board, etc. I just noticed when I lost a big hand I was playing out of position more, calling more, etc. This is a leak and I noticed it in my redline today. It is so much harder to take pots down oop and playing too many hands passively. Not really worried about my redline too much as long as my green line goes up, but I just caught onto what I was doing by looking at it.

Boxerz, how often are you check raising at micro limits? Do you simply c/r when you have good equity like 2 over cards or something and you believe the flop missed your opponents range?

Prob my last post in this thread...bankroll is what it started at.Mostly because of the increments because i am down about 8 buyins overall after i had a terribl day the other day...I want to hit 100 before april but i need to cut out gettin creative and trying to rebluff people when some of them actually just cant fold.

Problem with me is that i play fr an hour im up a buy in and then i go and raise a continuation bet with a high and i get ran over.Need to cut tht out at this level and i need to get my ptr back to break even.Im taking a day of tomoro because im on the piss all day .see you all in 2010

spent today grinding 5NL and managed to win back all my losses due to sngs from the past few days. i'm getting a lot better at value betting and building big pots, and my graph recently has been looking a lot nicer than before. i still have a ton of leaks that make me more weak-tight than i should be, but i'm working on them.

over the last week:

i wanted to take a few days off to work on my sng game, but it's probably more +ev to first grind up my roll up to where i'm comfortable making the jump to 10NL since i'm pretty close anyway.

won't be posting tomorrow, so happy new year everyone!

today: $202 --> $226

Being that this thread is now over, this will be my last response. No hard feelings. Maybe my comments didn't come across the right way, but getting a job is actually helpful advice for building a BR. The main reason I don't have to rob my BR like others do is because I have a good job. Again, maybe my comment to you about learning how to forget hands quickly came across as douchy, but that is also helpful advice on building a BR. You need to let bad beats or coolers just roll off your shoulders and learn from any potential mistakes then forget them. I have never been one that believes in posting or dwelling on bad beats. Anyway, good luck in the next thread
