Woo ran hot today as you can tell by the hand above

Up to $776.18
119 VPP's short of 1st Stellar Bonus and being silver star next month for the 1st time
13.5BB/100 @ 14k hands.

Lets see how that BB/100 is at 25k hands.

Then hopefully can move up to NL25 if its still respectable.

That brings this years winnings to: $188.25 i was hoping to win between 75-100 this month so bang on for me goal so far

Played some more 5nl today. Ran like usual. Both villains are known fish in my DB before someone inevitably says how stacking off with 70% equity was dumb or something.

That first board I'd really be iffy about getting it all in on, just because of how drawy it is. I understand they are fish, but at the same time, I don't know if I'd be quite as aggressive.

Man I need to get on the ball or else I'm not gonna hit any of my goals for the month. Only logged about 5 hours so far for the month and took a beating on FTP. No motivation at all right now : (

Congrats, I am in the same spot but can't seem to break 1500 again (I cashed out before)

Why? What in the world am I afraid of that he limp called with? 2-3 suited? He was a fish but 10-10 is almost always raising pre. There's nothing scary about that board to me. Certaily you aren't saying I shouldn't be getting it in against a FD on that board? If you mean the second hand I have a very good read on on villain and he would of been shipping it in already if he had the straight/set so I know I can get it in on a lot of friendly turns with him only have a PSB left.

last year i cashed out too
maybe $1000
basically the whole enchilada

got really strapped for cash

but this time i am committed to not cashing out until nl100

and my goal is to be able to grind at those stakes with 50 buy-ins

but my roll is so swingy (maybe i'm so tilty), i may want even more cushion

@BlaneH

Hand 1 - I would have raised - Call a Shove (But I wouldn't just overshove his $0.4 bet)

Hand 2 - Standard.

Hand #2, what happened on river? check/check? He checked the straight to you and you checked behind?
01-12-2010 , 09:03 PM
He was all in on the turn.

Ya another bad break. I'm actually up 2 BIs today at 5nl FR. It's so much easier than 5nl 6max, If you flop a set an some moron has an over pair an no high cards come your going to stack 'em every time. This is my second day playing FR, I was always a 6max guy, but I'm getting 14ptBB/100 so far but it's only been around 1.2k hands so..

I just had some fun at checkmates table...

Current Stake: $3 MTT's
Site: Full Tilt Poker

Plan of Attack
Currently playing $3 90 man MTT's. Have build from 30 -> 114 after 4 sessions.
I forgot the graph, and I'm back at work. When I get home I promise. Showing a pretty solid 80% ROI, ITM of 33%.

So I'm sitting at 38 BI's for my chosen stake. I was wondering if any MTT experts could give me an idea of BRM for MTT's. I'm currently working on a rough idea of having 40 BI's for my stake, and once I hit $200 dollars, change from 2 $3 MTTs side by side, to one $3.00 and one $6.00. Then move fully to $6.00 MTT's at $240.

Advise?

Stay at the $3 until you have 100buyins for the $6 ones (I'd personally wait till I had 150)

OK. So I assume BRM for MTT's is fairly different to BRM for cash?

$600 for $6.00 seems like alot, but hell, I'm the new guy and I'm not bout to argue with someone who probably knows his stuff.

Is 100 BI's for your stake a general MTT rule of thumb? For example, to move to .. say $10 45mans, I'd want $1000?

Sorry if these seem beginner questions, I'm rather new to online poker.

Also, what kind of sample size is significant at MTT's? I'm under no illusion my 200 tourneys is acceptable, but would I have a fair idea of stats at say, 1000 tourneys? 10k?

Still grinding away at 2NL. Put some good sessions in and up to just over 8K hands. Running a little over 10BB/100. Still feels like it should be more at 2NL but I'm playing very nitty and making a solid winnings so far.

BR $130

Don't worry about it. I had 10BB/100 at 2NL then again at 5NL and don't have anywhere near enough sample at 10NL yet to say (2k hands). When are you taking shots at 5NL?

goddamit, wtf does it take to beat 5nl?
