Current Bankroll - $204

Current Stake
SnG - $3.40 (Turbo)
- Move to $6.50 (Turbo) When Bankroll reaches $390 (60 Buy Ins)
MTT - 1/80th of Bankroll at any given time
Ring - 2nl
- Move to 5nl when Bankroll reaches $250

Plan - Going to try and work my way up. Have got my bankroll to $204 (Exactly 60 Buyins for $3.40 SNG) by playing $1 SNGs... The rules I will be sticking too are thus:

I can only move up SNG level when I have 60 BI's for it. If I drop below 40 BI's at any time for a level then I must move down.
I can only move up Ring Level when I have 50 (100BB) BI's for it. If I drop below 30 BI's at any time for a level then I must move down.

The overall aim is to try and convert $204 into $2,040 by 1st January 2011

Will be playing approximately 100 SNG's per week, with the rest being on Ring Games and the odd MTT here and there.

WISH ME LUCK! :P

When I emailed him for the second code I told them how awesome I thought it was. Baaaargain. It occasionally tries to open 14 SNG when I asked for 12 but I don't care.

I built my roll on PLO8 after playing LHE, trying no-limit and just not having a clue (I stopped myself playing NL very quickly, like ~50 hands, it was scary) In Super/System Sklansky/Brunson/whoever wrote that split-pot games suited the mathematical player more than hi-only games (although the game they referred to was limit hilo stud no qualifier). Bought Zee's O8/7S8 and the chapter on PLO8 was very short and basically said 'this game will die out because the fish get cut up too fast'. Looked on Party and there were plenty of PLO8 games so jumped in. Easy money.
You can grind up a roll almost anywhere at micros tho.

Plan
Yes I know I am ridiculously overolled but I set a goal of playing 1000 1.20s because I just want to know I can set a goal and make it happen and also because I have a bit of a degenerate past (some of you oldtimers might remember) Right now I'm about 260-270 in and should be done by the middle of next month.
I'm Also mixing in .25/.50 Stud and Omaha 8 to get to Iron Man because even though I hit a vicious downswing/have at times played atrociously I still believe I am +EV at these games.
Right now the plan is to get maintain an ROI above 12% at my current stakes which should give me a roll of $250 assuming I can just run netural at the 8/B games. Which point I will move to 2.25s for another 1000 and so forth. By the end of the year I hope to be at 11s with a roll of about 150 Buyins after I withdraw some to pay down some debt and other stuff.

(Main) Goals
  • Get a job by the end of the month. Anything less is unacceptable.
  • $2500-or so-net winnings from poker with about 1000 more from rakeback/bonuses. math could be way off-I don't know.
  • Finish Masters Degree by end of the year or have a real good excuse not to.
  • Get below 210 pounds.
So good to be back on these forums even if I don't recognize like any of you. The feeling is mutual I suppose.
What does it feel like? those were the days

20% rake is pretty degen imo

omfg I'm ready to rip my damn hair out. Constant suck outs on FTP, it seems like everytime I am ahead these guys keep hitting their 2 outers on the ****ing river...............................argggggggggggg gggggggggggg. Just dropped another 1.5 buy ins when my trip 6's lose to a full house on the river, then my aces lose to a straight on the river. Have about 3k hands in at 10NL so far and I'm down about $7 total, -1BB/100. So gross.

anyone else with an under-the-table-deal on iPoker that's starting to get bonuses off of them? I'm starting to think I'm all of a sudden without & the guy in the manager chat didn't seem all too surprised.

Roll $20.... lawl i feel so pathetic.
3 Days ago i was playing $20-$30 games.

Going to use my 5K FPP to enter the 280 man turbo's to get some "rakeback" so i can get a decent size roll to start playing properly again.

Hopefully i can get atleast $100 from them.

Current Stakes: 2nl
Site: PokerStars
Bankroll: $50
Started: 3rd of January

After watching, reading and learning much about poker, I've decided that I'm ready to take a shot. Have mostly been playing freerolls and donking off no deposit bonuses on euro sites to get a feel for the game. Now I'm rolled at stars and am ready to go!

Goals for 2010:

* Move up to 25nl... I'd really like to be there at the end of the year!
* Read the forums as often as possible. Try to squeeze in a video or two as well.
* Analyze my game in HEM every single time I play a session.
* Avoid playing while not being 100% (tired, tilted etc)
* Read at least 4 books
* Try to play constantly

January 5th: $50 -> $69.60

Todays session went quite well. Was sitting 650BB deep on 1 table at 1 point so was quite nice

Started to dip major at the end so i decided i wasn't making the correct decision and called it at that.

You know you shouldn't be playing when the sb raises your bb.. you flat with 57o... the board comes 568 and you think to your self.. oh yeah I just flopped a straight against this aggro donk....

... you know you are running good when you have that thought.. realize after you 4bet shove on the guy that you are an idiot, and are still able to win the hand (fe ftw i guess) and profit half a buyin from the session.
