I'm primarily a cash player so no probably not. I will play FPP Sats for the T$ though and maybe later work on my MTT game once my bankrolls slightly bigger.

you have nothing invested and you don't have reads or initiative and you personally are probably going to ROI yourself on Axx boards (which is exactly what you did)

Spoiler:

I just stacked this villain's QQ with my KK and the following hand comes up.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Hand Converter from HandHistoryConverter.com

SB ($5.19)
BB ($10)
UTG ($6.95)
MP ($10)
Hero (CO) ($20.16)
Button ($9.70)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q, Q
2 folds, Hero bets $0.35, 2 folds, BB raises to $1.40, Hero calls $1.05

I decide to flat in position and hope for a favorable flop.

Flop: ($2.85) Q, 4, 6 (2 players)

Spoiler:

Of course I flop gin and decide to not slowplay since I sense he is strong. I min-raise tarp him:

BB bets $2.30, Hero raises to $5, BB raises to $8.60 (All-In), Hero calls $3.60

He, of course, obliges and shoves. I correctly put him on what he had cause I'm so pro.

BB shows A, A
Hero shows Q, Q

Turn: ($20.05) 2 (2 players, 1 all-in)

Spoiler:

River: ($20.05) A (2 players, 1 all-in)

Spoiler:

Total pot: $20.05 | Rake: $1.33
Results:
BB had A, A (three of a kind, Aces).
Hero had Q, Q (three of a kind, Queens).
Outcome: BB won $18.72

Spoiler:
... and that is how to play a hand like a true professional poker player.

Lol Ice, thats great.

So I played ~500 hands of HU 50NL Cap the last two days, running a little bit above EV, but I did'nt get coolered, did'nt tilt, and won ~$85. Feels so good, I hope it continues

Depends on what micros you play, could be omaha, FR NL, 6max NL, or tourneys, so it depends.

For micro cash this is great
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/78...micros-430637/

also go to the respective forums of your game of choice, read all the stickies/guides and read HH that others post.

@Ice_Wolf

I wish I was as baller as verneer

@Archie

Hand #1
I'd probably B/F turn.
As played river sucks - Depends on villians stats - but I think its a fold since you only beat AJ and chop with AK.

Hand #2

Fold Turn - I'd call the flop bet but once he pots the turn I'm giving up. You don't beat anything but underpairs (88-TT) - You chop with QQ and your behind AA/KK/JJ. AK would probably just check the turn and I hardly doubt that AK would pot the flop.

Yeah I like the bet fold turn option here. Never really thought of it like that. He had AQ.

Hand 2 I just gave up on. Put him on AA and KK. When these villains pot bet on each street they generally have the nuts.
01-10-2011 , 03:53 AM
If you have no fold equity against someone, should you be playing your draws as lot more passively? Say you have AQs, flop is Kc8c2d, and you know for sure villain has Kx. If he bets would it be better to call than to reraise? Assuming stack sizes are at least 100BB.
01-10-2011 , 11:16 AM
Well I am going to take a week off. This is getting rediculous.

Starting BR on Stars: 1248.64
BR now after endless WTF moments: 1184.32

Oh well we will see if a week gets rid of my runbad from the last 65K hands....sigh.

BR-118

Had a GREAT morning. I'll spare the bad beats. Let's just say a lot of it was gross. Sick part is I'm playing only so I can cash out...

01-10-2011 , 01:57 PM
Not been running well at 5NL either Blane. Been on a 5K hand breakeven since I moved up. So frustrating winning a hand then getting to money coolered straight back out again. Must be even more frustrating being on a big downswing, I'm guessing that's still yet to come for me.

Just out of interest, what did you raise me with on that broadway flop and then fold to a 3bet? I was holding QQ and figured if you had JT then so be it, I'd still have equity.
