How are you up 6 BIs? I don't see a 6 BI upswing on that graph anywhere. And, how could that graph feel more swingy than it looks? lol, it's super swingy, there's like a ton of up's an downs.

Very similar to my lifetime graph, as far swings go. I'd post it, but I really hate to look at it.

I'm only buying in for 100bb. Start at about hand 3800 and go to the end, it's about $28.

BR: 1066.87
Limit: 25nl @ FTP

I put in a quick session earlier and ran really hot all around. Poker has been treating me well for the last week, with the exception of a 4hour, 3K hand breakeven/negative session on Sunday. For the this week, I don't plan to put in much volume as I have to study for my finals next week. However, I am excited to play in the Ironman Freeroll this saturday. This would be my first one ever and I hope it is soft.

Here's my run this past week:

Have a good week everyone!

very nice week man. I had the same for a few days. Hit a rough patch today - down a little over a buy in, but after 8 straight days of hot streak I'm more than willing to accept a downswing. First losing session after a string of nice sessions always sucks but I'm going to stick to my formula which I think works really well for me, so far beating 25nl for 8bb/100

Just hit 5k hands at 10nl. Been going through a little break even stretch but at least I'm clearing my bonus. Red line still isn't looking great but i don't think its a huge deal right now.

Good job! You aren't going to cash out on me are you? I'm trying to take my BR as high as it can go.

Positive couple of days. FT bankroll up to $119 after clearing the first $20 of some bonus they gave me and a $24 win on the PLO2 SH tables. Also popped back to ladbrokes (my first site now empty of cash) to use up some outstanding poker points on some MTTs and finished 2nd in a 2.50 euro 6-max tourney (should have been a win but guy hit a 3-outer after the chips got in the middle) for 37.50.

To top it off after nearly a month Carbon finally released my money so i've stuck it on top of my stars roll. Whoop!

Just had a terrible session while 12-tabling. It was one of them "Darwin Sessions" because everything that could go wrong, went wrong! I triple barreled TPTK twice an got called down by middle pair and the goof ball sucked out an hit his kicker on the river. And in the other one the same thing was happening, except I had the NFD along with TPTK an the idiot hit a 2 outer with his kicker again.

On another table there was this real fishy maniac calling/raising everyone and he was getting away with it, so the Idiot that I am, I tried to get it in w/ TPTK against him an he totally hit the flop. 88J flop (I have AJs & I raised utg1) and checked it to him he bets more than the pot so I flat, turn was a 7 he bets more again so I jammed, an he flips over T8 for trips.

I started to make a come back and got even, but ran into AA with KK but I didn't lose a whole stack on it. Last hand I flopped a straight and this dude called with an underpair and it came runner runner flush and I didn't have a spade in my hand, but I did alright by keeping the pot small when the turn was another spade. Only managed to lose less than a BI during the session, but I should be up 4-5.

I can't believe how bad these Silver/Gold star players are on PS. I'm really baffled by how loose they are and how much they lose but continue to play like idiots. Gold Star players are looking more like fish today than ever before.

One last RANT, has the new update on Stars messed up anyones Auto Re-buy option? It's totally screwed mine up, and I'm hating it. I like the new colors for the back of the cards, and the "Refresh" option in the Cashier, but other than that it sucks!
03-09-2010 , 09:56 PM
Silver/Gold players at 5NL are terribad for the most part. I was thinking about it and it actually makes sense to me b/c if I was a Silver/Gold star I'd hide my status to avoid scaring off any potential fish.

I love the new cardbacks as it's much easier to see at a glance how many people are in a hand. I don't use auto rebuy (I should I know but I still only play 4 tables so it's pretty easy to do manually).

March continues to treat me nicely as I made another 1.5BIs over ~260 hands today. Got KK in against what I felt for sure were aces, spiked a king on the river but the guy mucked jacks so didn't need it. Up $32 for the month and still running at around 20BB/100.

Total BR almost to $150. Halfway to 10NL although I want to play at least 20k hands at 5NL given how up and down I've been so far.
03-09-2010 , 10:00 PM
finally got pt3 so i can post graphs lol

not putting in the volume i want to due to school but at least im winning in march so far lol

03-09-2010 , 10:07 PM
Efrum, it's going to take you a looooong time to put in 20k hands if you only play 200 at a time. Are you the type who doubles up and gets offline right away? I only ask because it seems like once you've won a little bit you stop playing, and I was like that when I first started playing, but that was with SnG's.
03-09-2010 , 10:15 PM
This week is just really bad, I'm just squeezing in poker around college stuff (paper due this week + big test next week). Usually I'll play 500-700 hands in a session, more than that on weekends.

I only play 4 tables at the moment too so that's part of it.
03-09-2010 , 10:37 PM
4 Tables of 6max can get around 300+ hands an hour. That's a lot compared to what I get, I play 9 tables of FR an only get around 510 hands an HR. There's times when I play 12 tables an get around 650-670 an HR, but not often, because I lose reads.

How many VPPs do you get every 1k hands?
03-09-2010 , 10:53 PM
300+? Last month and this month so far I'm only averaging 235/hour. Not sure on the VPPs per hour, how do I go about finding that?
03-10-2010 , 12:20 AM
currently 610~ on FTP just recently moved up to NL25

still not sure if i want to move to PS or stay at FTP with rakeback as i definitely don't put enough hands in for anything more than gold i dont think.

235/hour really? That's weird because when I 9tabled 6max I'd get around 700/hour, so I was assuming you'd get just under half of that.

As for the VPPs, next time you start a session, jot down how many hands you play and how many VPPs you had when you started, then when you reach 1k hands see how many you have. You'll prolly have to do it a cpl times to get a rough estimate on VPP/1k hands. I remember getting around 15-18 VPPs/1k hands at 6max, But sometimes it would be less/more it all depends, but it helps for an estimate.

played a little bit today but ive been feeling super sick yesterday and today but figured i should play it out anyways. played like probably 500 hands and some guy just basically made a really bad preflop call which i compounded by being stupid. then after a little more action i saw he was more likely FOS to CRAI him on the turn and hes got a made straight to which i thought i was drawing dead and proceeded to get upset when i saw i actually hit a 3 outer on the river to suckout super hard on him. I fist-pumped like i was on the jersey shore and promptly closed the client so that A)i would not have a 3 outer promptly hit on me and B)i was obviously playing awful so no need to continue. will hit it tomorrow if i feel better which i probably wont.

oh yeah scherer i think you mean murphys law broski

Working on tons of volume this month as far as cash (for me at least) because I'm in a propbet vs. a friend for best profit over 25k hands at 100nl. Also, my goal for each month is to put in 500-1k tourneys. Been enjoying the swings, but slowly learning how to handle the BR better than I use to.

BR=~7k
Playing:Mtt sng's combo'd with mtts 5r-50
